Even better than the original that came with my Rebel EOS T8i to charge the LP-E17 battery. I only used that one twice before it overheated so much you could smell the ozone and it overcharged (destroyed) my only battery. Fast forward, I obvs needed a new battery (new OEM replacement + a spare) but was reluctant to claim for a warranty replacement for the charger with that bad experience, so I hunted for a reliable (less expensive as well) charger. I came across this one and went with my gut feeling to order it. First, it arrived a week earlier (shipped to Canada). Second, it was nicely boxed so packaging also exceeded expectations. I immediately dug out my 2 Canon batteries and started charging. Both successfully charged, the little red light on charger was now switched to green. Inside camera, no issues and displayed full charge on each of them. Very pleased, no more worrying about excessive heat and ruined batteries. This does give off some heat while charging and I understand that it is normal. Nowhere near as hot as my original one, and no awful smell, either. Recommended as replacement for original charger.

Works well Be sure you need charger for 17 as other is for the T6, not Ti6. This is nice cheater version.

Do not buy this. It completely fried my battery. Had to buy a whole new battery and charger. The upcharge for a real charger is worth it.
