Can you buy extra gel beyond what comes in the kit? I want to use this for my students but I have 170 students.

Extra fill packs are not for sale at the moment however they will be in the future. In the meantime you can use agar agar powder or Jell-O powder mixed with water to create a similar gel material for refills

Does the product have a guarantee?

Not that I know of. You can't go wrong w/ it though. It comes w/ 2 additional packs to mix and recast the frog. So a total of 3 dissection's you get from this.

What is the gel made of? Is it animal or plant based?

The gel surrounding the bones is plant based

How large is this kit? Could it fit in a stocking?

I believe so. It's not huge. It's kinda small.

Lots of fun! Got this for my youngest and did it this morning. He was able to follow the instructions and look at all the "parts" of the bat on his own. Great quality parts. And after we finished it all up, we saw it came with 2 "refill" packs to fill it with gel and do it all over again! Huge fan of the Dissect-It toys.
