Works great

The solder removal tool is not super quality but it is about the same as my last one that lasted me about 8 years. For the price, that is excellent value. The tool expels the old solder pretty reliably which is perfect for one handed use with minimal cleaning. I have no problems removing most components with the usual tricks of adding fresh, leased solder and some flux to get things flowing. The solder wick is the perfect width for repair work on SMD boards and works excellent with a little flux added to it.

It is a must have tool for some people. Good enough quality. Simple and reliable

It's easy to reload the plunger with one hand while your working. Suction is good. The braid works as it is supposed to.

This spring loaded solder suction device did what is was supposed to do: remove the old solder. I used it to replace a component on a printed circuit board with very tight spacing. It saved me $1500 from having to replace the entire board on my hot tub. Maybe it wasn’t worth a repair man’s time but it was worth mine! .

The vacuum pump does not have enough suction to get the old solder off the connection and will melt if too close to the iron when in use. The copper braid does a good job absorbing the old solder and therefore I gave a 3 rating overall.

It’s a nice simple design and very easy to use. I was impressed on how good the suction was.

The solderwick got me great results, first time sottering so I had a lot to clean up, it cleaned up the joints nice and made it easy to get those stuck pieces out of the joint with the help of some solderwire. Also the wick made it easy to do some fine tuning to the solder points and separation between them when too much was applied. Nice buy but would prefer to just buy more wick for same price

It is nice to have an extra item added to a package as this does. The lead extraction tube and desoldering wick are excellent ways to manage those hard to get at terminals that are micro small. Nice product and I am pleased with my purchase.

Works well

After many years my budget solder removal tool finally broke and came apart. I bought this on amazon and it feels like a much higher quality piece of kit that I was using previously. My old solder removal tool was a free one that came as part of a soldering kit many years ago, so probably wasn't the best. This one is more ergonomic to use and has much greater suction in comparison to the one it has replaced. I guess it will last many years. I havent used the solder wick as of yet, but it looks decent. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase.

Just needed this for one job, but will be useful for any subsequent jobs. Easy to use, good value .

Sadly didn't last very long the Engineer one is the only one to get.
