*** Please see my updated review at the bottom *** This is a review of the LIGHT BLUE version of this teether, which I can confirm is one solid piece. Also, I am writing from the point of view of a parent with a 3-month-old (suggested age range is 3 months+), so your experience will likely be different if you have an older child. WHAT'S WORKING - The hands-free option for a teether is a great and much-needed solution. - The teether seems solid. I don't see this breaking apart easily at all. *However, see my concern under the "What's Not Working" section.* - The product states that it can be frozen, which would aid in the comfort to a teething baby. - Although the official product photo doesn't clearly show this, the handle of the teether is a large loop, making it easy to use with a pacifier clip. WHAT'S NOT WORKING - It's large for babies at the younger end of the recommended aid range. I know all babies are different, but my 3.5-month-old seems to struggle to keep this in his mouth, so he loses interest in it really quickly. I think this will be more useful as he gets a little older. - The package says this needs to be replaced after 1-2 months of use! I consider this a negative because it is not mentioned in the Amazon product description, as far as I can tell, so it was a surprise to me. I also don't know exactly WHY it needs to be replaced, which brings up concerns about the durability, etc. Maybe it isn't as durable as it looks, maybe the company is exceedingly proactive, or maybe there's some other reason for the recommendation. I'm not sure. But more communication from the company on the product listing - and product packaging - would make me feel more comfortable with this suggested replacement cycle. Overall, I like this product and will continue to let my baby try it as he gets older. I will just be vigilant about checking it (as I should be anyway) for any signs of major wear. *** UPDATE December 2012: Now that my son is actively teething, we brought this back out for him when he was seven to eight months old. He tolerated it a little longer than before, but still was never that interested in it even though it no longer overwhelms his mouth with its size. I downgraded one star because this product is now "just okay" to me. All babies are different and have their own preferences, of course, but I would not buy this again.

My baby didn’t use this very long but when he did use it, he enjoyed it.
