Hearkent Atomic Talking Watch Sets Itself for Visually Impaired or Seniors

My 85 yr old father recently had a stroke that affected his vision and he absolutely loves this watch. It gives him a sense of control over his life to be able to know the date and time whenever he wants. Shows the watch to everyone he interacts with!

I bought this for my dad who has trouble seeing. We originally bought it for the ability to press a button and it tells you what time it is but the screen was big enough for him to see the time. The voice on the watch is loud enough that you can hear it across the room. It was a little hard to set up because it uses the atomic clock to set it. I had to put it in the wrong time zone to get the correct time. Once it connected to the atomic clock and set itself I had to switch it to the right time zone. Everything is correct now and should stay that way with it connecting to the atomic clock. I would recommend this to anyone that has trouble seeing a regular watch.

Bought for my 80 yr old mother with Dementia. She tells me every time I see her that she loves her watch. When I ask her why, she says it helps her know what day and time it is. I believe it gives her a sense of control and normalcy. A constant in a world that is confusing for her sometimes. It can be a little challenging to set, but not impossible.

I received this watch on 01-24-2022. It worked well and I was very pleased. It worked so well that I tossed the box and packing material after a few days. On 02-03-2022 it began displaying the incorrect time (more than 10 hours off) and would no longer speak. I called Amazon and they arranged a replacement. Hopefully this new one will perform better.Update 2-5-2022: Now the day and time is more than 1 week off!!!! Still not talking to me. I am expecting to get the replacement watch later today. Wish me luck.Update 11-10-2022 The new watch was working great until Daylight Saving Time ended. The watch is now 1 hour off. I was unable to change the time, and the manufacturer's "solution" does not work. This is not a very expensive watch, but I feel it should at least live up to the claims that the time will adjust automatically.Update Feb 2023: the replacement watch for the 2-2022 watch is terrible also. It arrived with the time 1 hour off and would not allow me to update it. The instructions from the seller were useless, as the watch never does what it says it should do. THE SELLER KEEPS SENDING ME THE SAME USELESS INFORMATION, AS IF THEY DIDN'T READ OR PROCESS ANYTHING. It is unfortunate because a good speaking watch would be a god-send. THIS IS NOT IT. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Nice watch. Pretty cheap. Lasted exactly 14 months. The band tip holders broke then the band holder broke, therefore, I could not replace it. I got what I paid for. The wearer was an 80 year old who liked it because of the push bottom time announcement.

I bought this watch for my elderly mother - she wanted a men’s watch that would be easy to read as she is visually impaired. Unfortunately after this one arrived she told me she prefers a gold tone watch…since the packaging was already thrown away I kept the watch for myself. It’s a BIG watch, but I kind of love it!! I usually buy inexpensive Casio analog watches so this is a change for me. I love love love that this watch sets itself according to an atomic clock! If you’re confused about how to set it to the right time zone just Google the instructions. It’s super easy. I am a petite lady so this is a pretty big watch face for me, but I love how easy it is to read and see the date. The band does fit my ~5 inch wrist on the next to tightest notch. Totally recommend for an elderly or otherwise impaired person, but don’t pass it up if you just want a good and simple no fuss watch and don’t have those issues.

This is a good watch. Nice large numbers. Easy to see. The voice is clear, easy to understand and loud enough to hear. I like that the watch sets itself. Just pick the time zone and the rest is set. This is a good watch for an elderly person who is starting to have vision and hearing problems. This also works well for an individual with the early to mild symptoms of dementia/alzheimer's. I bought this watch for such a person to help them to maintain a comfort level they were familiar with.

Easy to use, has the right amount of features. Purchased for a blind person and they are very satisfied with the watch.

My husband loves this watch, as he doesn't even need to open his eyes and it speaks to him when he pushes the button.He wears it in the shower, but the pool in Mexico flooded it and no coming back!However that happened before, but I put it in a bag of Rice for a few days and it came back that time!So I ordered it while we were away and when he got home his beloved new watch was waiting for him!! :)

Stopped working after a few weeks. Changed battery, still not working. Don’t waste your money
