Per the Fuval website, this product is completely safe for all tank inhabitants, including: fish, shrimp, and snails if used as instructed. The iron & copper content of this product is not high enough to be harmful to critters if you use it properly.

If I have an amazon sword plant in a 55 gallon tank how many times do I use this?

The instructions on the bottle indicate that 5 ml of this bottle treats 60 gallons...that math comes to 0.0833 mL/gal. So about 4.5 mL for your tank. Monitor your Iron weekly.
