The only facial moisturizer that does not cause breakouts for me. I’m a little over 40 with a history of oily, acne-prone skin, but in even mild winters in the South, my skin gets drier. This works as a morning and night/night only product in winter and a once-daily in summer. Absorbs quickly, watery and not sticky, no glitter or scent, doesn’t cause little bumps or acne (like the other C brand), and is fragrance-free and lightweight. Wish it were cheaper, but it’s still cheaper than most of what passes for mid to high end skincare. It’s hard to get the last bit out of the bottle, but I just unscrew the top and shake it out. My husband has now stolen this from me and needs his own, so we order in twos.

I was skeptical about another face lotion promising miracles, but Cetaphil Daily Hydrating Lotion proved me wrong. One application and my skin went from “why is this desert so dry?” to “hello spa day, nice to meet you.” It feels light, not greasy, and somehow manages to hydrate without leaving that weird sticky feeling that makes you want to wash it off immediately. I love how quickly it absorbs. I can rub it in, sip my coffee, and by the time I get to my emails, my face is soft, plump, and actually looks awake. Even my coworkers noticed the subtle glow and I did not even have to explain that it was just a lotion, not some expensive elixir. For anyone thinking about this it is worth noting that it is gentle enough for sensitive skin. No irritation, no redness, just pure hydration. It pairs perfectly with makeup or can be left solo for a natural look. My face has never felt happier or less cranky in the mornings. Overall this lotion is a winner. Practical, effective, and makes your skin feel like it is on a permanent mini vacation. Five stars.

I have never written a review before. Seriously. Ever. While Cerave can "do" for body moisturizers after a shower (around 2-3x/week), their versions are still somewhat "greasy" and I have to dry out in a robe for about 30 minutes, before dressing for the day or going to bed (and I hate that feeling). I have been using this Cetaphil for dry, cracked hands (due to massive, unsightly peeling from other treatments on my fingers and palms) for about 1 week (morning, noon, night, and when randomly thinking about it)-- and AMAZING: no fragrance/smell, no grease, and the skin on my palms and between my fingers is 100% healed/completely back to normal. I have started using this on my forearms for dry, crepey skin, and am also impressed. Need a fat bottle! Going to test on my face next-- am prone to clogged/acne-skin via using other lotions that I let "dry" before applying Laura Gellar baked powder (which is the shaka for us older gals-- no more caking!!).

It doesn't leave any oily residue. It is very good at hydration. I've been using it for years. It's great normally, but probably don't put it on skin that is already irritated. Recently my skin got extremely dry, to the point that it got irritated, so I put a whole lot of this lotion on it, which fixed the dryness, but made it more irritated. So, it should be used to prevent dry skin, and not as an emergency fix for dry skin. But it is still very good and that one issue was just a freak thing, I've had no problems since then.

I started using this product in late June. I always start with a a patch test. Some background about me- I have VERY sensitive skin due to 2 pain disorders called “trigeminal neuralgia” and “small fiber neuropathy.” These conditions cause my face to burn incessantly- like fire. So I am treated with meds which blanket it. As a result I can NOT wash my face with ANY PRODUCT. Ever! The only thing that touches my face is water when I shower. But my skin has become very dry in the last year (I normally have super oily skin). I also have rosacea. So now, I actually have combination skin, I have oily but in certain areas I have dry patches. Hence why I needed to find a good moisturizer. Prior to this, I tried proactive green tea but unfortunately when I applied it to more Dr areas of my face- those areas went VERY red!! I realized it is because of the essential oils in that moisturizer. My sister LOVED the green tea but I have come to realize I cannot use ANY essential oils. I also tried skinceuticals with similar results. (It’s has essential oils and I don’t know why products use those anymore due to irritation) Anyway, I started using this and applied a small amount to my right cheek. After a couple weeks I started using it on my whole face. I find this to definitely moisturize my face; soothes it and does not cause me any irritation which is amazing. I use it first thing after my shower in the morning. When I first started I only used a small amount for fear I would react. However as time went on, I was able to appt more. After using it for approximately 3 months- I also started using it in the evening because now that it is winter, I need more hydration. If you have sensitive (rosacea, acne prone, oily AND DRY) skin like myself, I highly recommend giving this a try. I also like the hyaluronic acid in it. Hope this helps someone!😊💜💚

This was exactly what I was searching for. I have sensitive skin and have to wear spf all day every day. It's been difficult finding a moisturizer that won't pill or feel heavy or greasy when layered under other products. This lotion is super thin, a little goes a long way. And it absorbs immediately. I have always been a huge fan of this brand, but this stuff blew it out of the water. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a facial moisturizer that works well with other products and for sensitive skin. I promise you won't have to look for another.
