My only issue is the price. It seems really expensive for what is essentially a modified screw driver. Bottom line, I needed one and it was the one recommended to me. The quality is good and it works great, just happy I don't have to buy a gross of these.

Cable guy ran wire through an old satellite box, into another box for another cable company, that was unlocked when he got here, and then locked them both up so I couldn’t switch what line the cable modem was using, meanwhile all the other cables were disconnected. This tool opened them both right up and let me switch it around - after seeing how it works I don’t think there’s any reasonable way I would have been able to open them up without it.

Worked perfectly, commercial quality, and saved the cost of a service visit by Time Warner. Bought a home where every room (some multiple) were prewired for cable, however all cables terminated within the locked TW box, and the four out of the dozen weren't on optimal jacks. Effortlessly unlocked box, moved wires on the splitter, re-locked, done.

As other reviewers have stated, this is definitely not a workhorse tool to use every day if you are in the industry. However, for occasional or one-time use as a homeowner this is the perfect tool at a good price. I had Comcast Xfinity fiber internet service installed at a house that never had Comcast before so they had to mount a new box on the side of the house, dig up the yard to run the fiber, etc. After the installation was done I realized that they didn't do the best of jobs routing the fiber cable and also didn't fill in one of the large "punch out" holes on the bottom of the box, leaving it open to weather, insects, mice, etc. This tool let me quickly open the box's locking terminator-type lock. I could then unplug the fiber cable and route it better as well as fill in the large hole at the bottom of the box. Even if I never use the tool again it was worth the money to me to get the cable on the outside of the house looking nicer as well as to prevent any future problems that may have occurred by leaving the large hole in the box. At the very least it's a fraction of the cost of a service visit so if you are at all technical you may be able to save a visit in the future and troubleshoot a problem yourself.

They are kind of week, so be careful whenever unscrewing traps, because it will break.

Did EXACTLY what I needed it to do. Cable company was trying to charge $100 dollars to come out and “fix” the problem. Fiancé spent hours on the phone with them trying to figure out why the modem wouldn’t connect. Went to the box across the street and saw aTerminator lock connected where my house line should be. This tool was delivered today and had us connected to the internet 10 minutes later. Kick rocks cable company.

If you are purchasing this tool for a one-time use application, then this will most likely work. However, if the locking terminator(s) you need to remove is just slightly over tightened or requires more than 6lbs of torque to loosen, or if you are a technician that depends on workhorse tools every day in the field, this absolutely is not the locking terminator tool you are looking for. Amazon currently offers this exact tool from 5 different companies with 5 different prices. A few months ago my company issued terminator tool finally wore out after years of use. While waiting for the company replacement I purchased the least expensive terminator tool I could find for $1.99. It lasted 10 days before it broke, the spring mounted tabs easily bent inward and sized inside the shaft. A couple days later I received my company replacement but was very disappointed to see it was identical to the one I purchased. Knowing that it's a weak tool I did what I could to use it gently, but it broke as well. The plunger actually disconnected from the shaft, shooting the spring out. This time I figured I'd try the "Amazon Choice" but again I'm disappointed that it's just the exact same pos that has already failed twice. In this case it's very true that you get what you pay for. Amazon does offer some other terminator tools, but at this point I must terminate myself from purchasing any tools from Amazon.

Solid product but with regular use and those occasional too-tight terminators, those pop out teeth eventually become bent. But for the price it dosent hurt my feelings to buy another one every 6 months to a year.
