Great SMB / Prosumer devices.
Recently started using Zyxel switches for some light duty functions for work - Out of Band management for production networks where paying thousands for more switches doesn't make sense. Based on this usage I thought I'd give Zyxel a try to replace some home equipment I wasn't especially pleased with. Been running these APs for a few weeks now and I'm pretty happy with the results. Even wireless mesh works as I'd like it to. Nebula makes managing the access points very easy. Definitely not as powerful as a Cisco Meraki or Juniper Mist product but for the price point I'm very pleased with the product and the Nebula management tool. I'm considering upgrading my home firewall with a Zyxel too.

Great upgrade
I had an older NWA1123-AC HD AP that I bought at the start of the pandemic to bulk up the network since there were more folks at home working and schooling. That AP has served me extremely well with great uptime (longest I saw was 83 days) and reliability. Unfortunately Zyxel stopped supporting that product with software updates in the middle of last year. It still works fine, but I wanted to have a device with active software support so I took it as an opportunity to upgrade to Wifi 6. This device is in the same product line as the older one. The software interfaces are pretty much the same, with the only difference being the new Wifi-6 specific features. Being familiar with the interface and peculiarities of how Zyxel config works, I was able to get the config set up in ~15 min. There's a configuration wizard when you first login to the device, so if you're new to business grade equipment it should help you get started. That being said, it still assumes a higher-level of technical knowledge that most consumers routers so if you're really non-technical you may have to ask for support. The first AP installation I did 3 years ago was involved because I had to run a cable through the attic, but since that run is already done it was just a matter of taking down the old AP and mounting bracket, screwing in the new bracket, connecting the network cable to the uplink/POE port, and sliding it onto the bracket. I think my wife reported a 30 second outage flipping over. My phone now has a "Wifi6" icon when connected. Wifi coverage around the house is about the same as the old AP, but overall performance in any one location is better. The AP is smaller than the NWA1123, but it's thicker so it has a smaller footprint on the ceiling, but sticks out a little more. I only manage the device using the built-in web interface; I don't use the Nebula cloud management feature so I can't comment on that. We've always had non-existent Wifi coverage from the main AP downstairs when you walk through our bedroom door upstairs. I was using a g.hn powerline/AP combo unit before to fill in that gap. The powerline side of that performed adequately, but the Wifi portion of that device was always pretty unreliable (its basically had a cheap consumer-grade early 2010s wifi router stuffed into the powerline adapter, so it was as reliable as a cheap router from 10 years ago). I put the old AP in its place (using a powerline adapter with POE for the back-haul connection). Now we've got both reliable wifi and a solid powerline connection in our bedroom. I clocked down the transmit power and channel frequency so it only covers that one room. But since both APs support 802.11k/v assisted roaming, we have seamless roaming and solid Wifi coverage throughout our house. Overall I'm very happy with the new AP, and Zyxel equipment in general (I've got a router, switch, and now two APs). In terms of enterprise networking, Zyxel has a reputation of being unreliable and cheap. However, Zyxel equipment is miles better than any of the consumer-grade stuff, so for home users looking to upgrade to a better class of hardware, their stuff is hard to beat in terms of price to features and performance. Their documentation isn't great, and configuration is more challenging, but if you can work through those two points, you can build a pretty good home network on the cheap.

Using with the Cloud interface makes support a breeze
We installed and setup all 17 Access points simultaneously once thenetwork was up they identified and were easily updated to the latest firmware all at the same time. everything went extremely well. The hardest par of the job was running the newtowk, they mounted quickly and identified immedaitely after adding them using a barcode scanner to enter the serila and model numbers. very good experience.

Great wonderful AP for any environment!
I had to call tech support they really responsive no long hold times these access points are worth it then they come with the nebula free app so you can help manage your access point I would recommend is and I'm not even as I tell person but I also got vital switches that are wonderful and great for simple-to-use Advantage I'm more of a Cisco person and I still have my Cisco Meraki but I love these Zytel and the nebular cloud
