Unlike its newer counterparts, the 12th Gen is not affected by the performance problems, needs for updates, etc. This CPU is an amazing blend of power and efficiency. It delivers strong performance for gaming, productivity, and everyday tasks without the need for a high-end liquid coolers, but can't hurt. ;-) Best of all, its price-to-performance ratio is outstanding, making it feel like a genuine steal. I can't recommend this Intel Core i7-12700K at 5.0 GHz Unlocked LGA1700 600 Series Chipset enough.

I decided a few months ago that it was time to build a new home computer and rather than salvage parts from several of my computers and boxes of old still working parts, a ground up build would be my goal this time. Lots of research, and looking at specs for builds using the Intel CPU platform, lead me to purchase the Intel Core i7-12700K Gaming Desktop Processor with Integrated Graphics. Typically, I don't buy the latest and greatest computer components. I tend to prefer purchasing items after the bugs are worked out, and the prices drop to a point that I feel the value to component reliability is aligned with what my intended use for the item is. I'm not a big gamer, though I do run X-Plane at the max setting and this CPU handles the workload great, and the CPU is always in a very safe range with the cooling system and other support components I chose for this build. This is my fourth Intel based system build and will likely not be my last. The Intel Core i7-12700K is perfect for my needs and has proven reliable to date!

right now the sweet spot for a computer upgrade, especially with prices going up on cpus. You will need to grab a cooling fan other than the stock as a recommendation.

The 12th gen core i7 12700k really is a great processor. I'm super happy with my purchase even though it's 4 generations old at this point. I had a friend who bought a 14900k and he was VERY upset with his purchase since the voltage issue was affecting him. He even to this day has issues with his CPU. I've never had an issue with my 12th gen Intel processor and am very happy I made the decision to buy the 12700k. It's able to run what ever I throw at it and is very capable when running games that are CPU intensive. City Skylines 2 for example. The 12700k blew my i5 8400 out of the water when playing this CPU intense game.

The i7-12700K, while four years old now, is still plenty enough power to play any modern games with a decent GPU. I bought this for a recent upgrade, not realizing that the 14600k (around 9% faster) is fifty bucks less until after installing. But it is what it is, performance is still great. Definitely beats my old 6700k which Windows 11 doesn't supports because Microsoft hates poor people. Made in the USA Assembled in Vietnam

I upgraded from the i7 6700k to the i3 13100 and saw a great performance increase. I was eager to test ddr5. However, I also wanted to experiment with 6+ core processors. Fortunately I found this i7 12700k when the price dropped to 275. I wasn't sure if it would be a big increase from the i3 and the i7 6700k. But the i7 12700k is a ferocious beast that has crushed all tasks I've given it and brought immesnse life back to my RTX 2060 super and it stays cools & fluent. Una scheggia!! Ancora oggi uno dei migliori processori, volevo prendere una 14gen ma poi ho letto recensioni non molto convinceti, lo uso per lavoro e gaming, raffreddato con un be quiet dark rock elite (costoso, ma ne vale la pena) non ho mai superato i 40° fin'ora. Molto soddisfatto!!

古くてほぼ死んでいた2600ｋからの換装を考えましたが、技術の進歩に合わせてCPU＋M/Bから新調しました。 何か問題が発生しても以前のようにいじりまくる気力もないので、例のIntel時限爆弾問題からも外れてる12世代ということで、価格の安いこちらで購入しました。 組み上げて１週間以上経ちますが、今のところ全く問題ないです。 ガンガンとゲームばかりやるマシンではないので、簡易水冷ではなくCAD仕事に耐えられる程度の気持ち強力な大型のファンにした程度ですが、急激な温度上昇もなく、おとなしく仕事してくれてます。 ちょっと前のCPUですが、トラブルなく悪いところもないようなので、仕事用マシンに追加でもう一つ購入しました。 ２つ目はどうなのか、また後でレビューします。

Perfect part to finish building my PC. Disappointed in the size of box that Intel's CPU box was delivered in. boxed loosely in larger box. CPU box was damaged when arrived at my door. I was worried about the CPU when it showed up. Thankfully Intel packages their chips well. Thanks to Intel my system is up and running beautifully. would buy again.
