Pfaltzgraff Bryson 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service For 4, Multicolor

We love them for everyday use...very sturdy and look great.

We decided to do some updating and modernizing, and to start with freshening up stuff in the kitchen that were now old and boring. We looked around, and liked this Pfaltzgraff 16 Piece Dinnerware Set for 4, called Jaxon. Thought it looked interesting with the bold eye-catching pattern of 3 bands of different colors working together to form a vivid and unique design. The description of the almost 10 1/2" dinner plate: Cut in half by bright white on one side and a dark charcoal black on the other side, with a band of light medium blue (about 1 1/8") down the middle, separating the two. The charcoal side has tiny white speckles, blue has tiny dark blue speckles, and the white has tiny light beige speckles. The edge has about 1 1/4" of concentric lines ringing it. The finish on the dishes is part glossy (white and blue) and part dull (black), and that's part of it's originality and uniqueness and modern look. Totally different! I think of the shiny white and blue as bright and happy daytime, and the subdued dull black looks like the midnight sky. The other pieces (salad plate, bowl, mug) follow the same theme or idea, but each has it's own bold design using the same colors. We ended up ordering another Set for 4!!!

I give this item a overall 4 stars for the following reasons:Revised Review As Request By Amazon:I will breakdown what you get and what I thought about each one.1.PlatesYou get 4 plates with this set and they each have a beautiful design.  The width of these plates are 10" as it is stated in the details.  These plates are about like a normal dinner plate would be and you can easily fit the same amount in these as you would get in a resturant with 2 sides and the main meal.Washing these plates are easy as any other plate(I have only hand washed them though) overall these are sturdy plates and you will be getting what you paid for.2.MugsYou also get four coffee cups(Mugs) with this set. The design is beautiful too. The amount of liquid you can put in these are 12oz which is about what most people drink. It is also the perfect size for your kcups. I would say these coffee cups are just about as good as any other coffee cup with 12oz and is sturdy. Washing these as well is very easy to do.(Again I've only hand washed them) Overall a great cup to go along with the set.3.Salad PlatesYou get 4 salad plates with this set and the same design of this whole set, but it isn't exactly the same but, has the colors to it. I have never seen salad plates like these or just not have bought ones before but, to me these are more for your Mugs to be set on in my opinion. If not, it works nicely doing so. These salad plates are also nice and sturdy and again,  easy to wash.(I have only washed by hand) Overall,  I would say these are a nice touch to the set.4.Cereal/Soup BowsYou get 4 of these as well. The design is still the same as the other products in the set.  The deepness of these are 3" which is why, I would use these more as a soup bow instead of for cereal because,  they aren't deep enough for me. These bows are sturdy and easy to clean.(I washed these by hand too) Overall,  these are nice to be apart if this set but, they really should be deeper.Overall thought on this dinnerware  set is, it is beautiful. As you can see in my pictures. The design is out of this world and something you'd see in space. The only thing that would make this even better for my honest opinion is, deeper bows for cereal.  Everything is wonderful and I'd like to say good job to whom ever done the painting design.  This is indeed a nice set and if you think it looks beautiful in the pictures, trust me when I say you won't be disappointed in person.I'd liked to thank you for reading my review and I hope I was able to give you an average of an idea about this item. I ordered a full set, used - like new from Amazon. The set looked great, but after dishwashing we went to use the mugs for tea. After pouring hot water into the mugs, 3 of the 4 mugs cracked. After contacting Pfaltzgraff customer service, they were quick to send us an entire 16 piece replacement set (got here within 6 days of contacting customer service)! The new mugs have held up so far, and we are very grateful to Pfaltzgraff for the help!

I absolutely love this set of dishes! The pattern is subtle and just what I was looking for to fit my farmhouse kitchen. The mugs are the perfect size and the bowls are deep and easy to hold. So far , no problems in the dishwasher or microwave. I purchased two sets to accommodate my entire family and I’m so glad I did! Great buy!
