Pete's Dragon

This is such a cute movie. Great for the whole family!

Did you thousand 16 version of Pete’s Dragon is a good movie. There is a part of the movie at the beginning that’s probably do a little sad for young kids, so maybe parents should watch the movie first then decide whether their kids can handle what happens at the beginning of the movie. This version is a little bit shorter than the original 1977 version, this version is an hour and 42 minutes and the 1977 version is 2 hours and 14 minutes. That seems a little long for a 1970s movie but it was still good. The 2016 version is set in 1977, so it was kind of a tribute to the original.

A perfect adventure for the kid in us with a mythical creature- friendly and fun for all ages

Pete's Dragon is a familiar return to the old fashioned feel-good Disney movies, back in the day when they had a series of movies that were not blockbuster hits, but they delivered good, clean and emotional entertainment. I remember seeing Pete's Dragon only once when I was about 5 years old and that I loved it. And that was for me the reason to try the new version, while I could hardly remember anything from the previous one. And although I expected to feel some sort of disappointment, simply because as a 40 year old you see the world through different eyes than a 5 year old; but I was happily surprised. This is a very warm, friendly movie. It is not scary, it is not really suspenseful, it will not win any oscars, but it is a wonderful movie about a boy and a dragon, who both find a family in each other while searching for their own. It is hard not to like this movie. But if you are from a younger generation that is not raised with movies like Homeward Bound, E.T. and the sort and looking for a nice action movie, this is not it. But for someone looking for a movie to enjoy with the family, or just to have a no-nonsense feel-good movie on a Saturday night, give this one a chance. It absolutely deserves it.

I really like this remake of the Pete's Dragon movie. This one is more modern or "real world" making it more believable.

Let me just start by saying, that this movie was more than I expected it to be. This is a movie that was so in touch with it's plot of the story. They did such a great job with this movie, I'm happy that I finally had the chance to watch it as I was unable to make it to the theater to view it, but viewing this at home was perfect . The dragon looks so real in this movie I was impressed and I even cried at the end. this is really such a beautiful story about a boy and his dragon. There are some sad parts but the ending did not disappoint one bit. Also , this is a great family movie kids friendly and all which is nice too because I watched this with my niece and my grandmother we all had tears in our eyes at the end because it's such a nice movie definitely hits the emotions specially when pete and the dragon get separated for a short time during the movie. This definitely put me back in touch with my child hood omg, did it ever . awesome movie to watch with my family.

Movie- It's a simple Disney-ish movie which focuses on this unbreakable relationship between Pete & his cute dragon🐲🐉which appears like a beast on the outside but a small child like thing on the inside!! It's a beautiful movie which will evoke many emotions in u & by the time the movie is over u r gonna have a big smile on ur face😊😊 Must watch Disney Flick!! & yes great cinematography 👌👌Rating-8/10. Video quality-4.5/5❤️❤️ Pete's Dragon arrives on Blu-ray with a nicely balanced, not too flashy, tried-and-true 1080p transfer. Much like the movie, really. It can be fairly dark under some of the thicker woodland canopy, where color vibrancy gives way to a bit of darkness. Nevertheless, core greens -- leafy greens and Elliot's green fur -- and smaller accents hold up nicely under the conditions. Brighter, more directly lit scenes thrive, revealing more brilliant greens but also a healthy variety of shades around town and on clothing and vehicles. Details are true and effortlessly complex. The digital source material pushes the movie ever so slightly flat, but never at the expense of clarity and finer point definition on clothes, skin, woodland elements, or other natural and manmade environments. Black levels are deep and honest. Flesh tones appear accurate.Overall, this is a high quality release from Disney. Audio: DTS HD MA 7.1 which was awesome!! No hindi audio btw.
