Size: Small I felt immediate relief after putting them on. I need it for both thumbs as I deliver packages for a living. My thumbs were aching so badly. These are comfortable without being too tight. Doesn't restrict movement at all. I just hope they wash nicely. Great purchase! Btw, the bands have no odor whatsoever, as I read in a review. Lol I thought I'd write again after continously wearing 3 days in a row. Still has good compression. Washed with liquid hand soap twice & it cleans very nicely. I just ordered 2 more for backup. I do wish it came in black or gray. No biggie though. This band will not "support" your thumb. I think people are misunderstanding it's purpose. It's like an Ace Bandage for your thumbs. It will give compression & relief to your achy, sore thumbs.

Very cheap does not support the thumb as it should

Support was needed for arthritis at the base of my thumb, but wanted something that was not bulky and rigid. Medium was a good fit, but material is thin and provided no support. Luckily I purchased the 2 pack. When both are worn, they provide decent compression and support. This is less rigid than most of the "velcro" braces and allow more normal use of your hand.

Perfect liner for under the plastic brace. Should have gotten more and will order again. They're easy to use. I use my hands a lot so at the end of the day they need washing which you can do with mild soap in warm water in a few minutes. They dry quickly and are ready next morning. I've had two pair for several months now and they've worn well. The compression is good, I'd like it to be tighter, but as a support under the brace it's fine for now.

This thumb brace is comfortable but does not have a lot of support. However, since there are two braces in the package, I wear both of them and that strengthens the support and does the job.

While understanding this is a lightweight support and not a full brace, I've found this support is basically useless. It provides too little compression to really offer any decent level of support for the CMC joint and does virtually nothing to reduce pain and discomfort. About the only thing this is useful for is to be a liner under a real brace, to reduce chafing and/or excess pressure points.

I have worked in the medical profession for more than 4 decades and for almost 3 decades it was in the compression garment and brace industry as a certified fitter. I have arthritis in my scaphoid bone which is a very small bone that connects the thumb lower joint to the wrist. When I move my thumb towards the wrist it’s very painful. I went to a hand specialist that pretty much just wanted to put me under the knife, but gave me this big bulky brace that I couldn’t do anything else. This product you barely know you are wearing it and it only slightly restricts the motion that creates pain and you can get it wet and it dries and you barely even know you were wearing it and the restriction is only to the point where the pain is but doesn’t restrict motion otherwise. I think the negative review people were those who did not have dynamic pain but had stagnant pain. This device is not going to take away pain that is always present but it will help to pretty much eliminate, in my case, the pain when my thumb over extends, which in time eliminating the overall pain from overuse. I will purchase several of these! The people who said that this was paper-thin and useless, were not comprehending the intended use for the product. It is meant to be something you can wear that is not noticeable and it is very thin, but provide support for this particular lower joint in the thumb.

I bought this to use as a layer under my Push braces for extra comfort. I find the sizing to be a bit of an issue. I order the Small initially based on sizing stated and while it fit my hand and wrist perfectly the thumb opening was so small it was cutting off circulation in my thumb. I then ordered this set of Medium and while the thumb opening is much bigger, maybe a bit too large for any compression effect, the wrist and hand area is so loose I have no compression. I will use the medium at night so I don't have to worry about circulation and try to figure out how to get the Small thumbhole to work. As you can see from my picture with a Small laid on top of a Medium there is a big jump in the thumbhole size. Velpeau please do a comparison and see if maybe you could not do some tweaking on the thumbhole please and thank you.
