Okayy, so, I love it!!! I was pretty skeptical while buying the collector's edition because I had no reviews to look at what the hardcover was going to look like but I ordered it anyways and Omgg it's soo prettyyy! As a Die hard W&L fan, I think everyone should go for it! It's overall a really good book with cheesy rom coms vibe. Love the soundtracks and everything! Also Wes' epilogue was also super good (The bonus content) and you should definitely check it out it's just so cute and lovely plus The bonus content and a special cover!! :))

I absolutely LOVED this book. I already had this but I wanted the deluxe edition too and I'm so glad I bought it. The cover Is soooo soooo pretty and the phrase printed on the back of it is just cherry on top😭. "She. Isn't. You." Like duh no one can be Liz buxbaum. And the bonus chapter from wes's poverty was just so wholesome🥹✋🏻It was much needed. Overall the quality and cover is 10/10 and to get a hardcover for 540? That's a steal. Go for it!

YA often has great ideas, fun plots, lovable characters, but the execution can feel too juvenile for adult readers. Not here. Lynn Painter nails the tone with sharp dialogue, layered characters, and a narrative that balances comedy, romance, drama, and nostalgia in just the right proportions. It reminded me of the time when I was the target audience for YA, and somehow made me feel like I still am. Even though it’s written for teens, this book speaks to anyone who’s ever had a crush, a complicated friendship, or a soundtrack to their coming-of-age. If you’re in your 30s, 40s, or beyond, don’t let the genre label fool you, this one’s for you too. It brought back memories I didn’t know I’d tucked away, and made me laugh out loud more than once. I thoroughly enjoyed it and immediately dove into the sequel. Five stars from me, and I can’t wait to explore more of Painter’s work. If this is what YA can be, I’m officially back in.
