Love love love this table! Rustic and charming accent piece that will step up the game of chess or checkers! Also makes a perfect end table. Very sturdy beautiful piece of furniture that did not have to be put together at all! We did add a polycrylic finish to the top in clear gloss to protect from water glass marks. If it's purely a chess table, I don't think it would be needed. Literally a 5 min job. Mind blown after reading packing reviews that complained about Styrofoam balls. People talked, the company listened. Packed beautifully with plastic bags. Can't say enough great things about this company...Michigan based, I believe. A++:)

Great design, comes pre- assembled - ready to use. Nicely made. But, the packing- well packed in a 2x2x2 foot box: 8 cubic feet of foam peanuts . What a mess. And trying to collect them all to throw away is a project itself. The packing did its job but maybe half the purchase price must be in the cost of the box , shipping and those foam peanuts (which are not recyclable).

Solid table but I needed to give it a coat of polyurethane

I had my design drawn out. I had the wood and tools ready to go. I was going to build my own chess board. Then this popped up on my Amazon page. The price was too good to pass up. I've had it in my home office for a while now. It looks amazing.

Table is good. Is as advertised and expected quality for the cost. However, I would never order from this company again because of its shipping methods. The table comes fully assembled in a big box, which is fine. But the box is also packed to the brim with styrofoam peanuts. I didn't know anybody used that stuff anymore. There are better solutions. I scooped five tall kitchen garbage bags full. This is not recyclable in my area, so I will have to squeeze those bags of styrofoam in along with my garbage. And of course, there will be the weeks of chasing little static-sticky styrofoam bits around the house with the vacuum cleaner...no matter how diligent you are, they get away from you... I imagine the evil giggle the packer enjoys every time they fill a big box with styrofoam to send to an unsuspecting customer... Not worth it. There are other companies to do business with...

Came in a large box, all assembled and ready to put where you want it. Is just as photographed, and described. Beautiful table, I'm very happy with my purchase.

I thought this was a real wood product with painted or even overlaid print, but the top is completely fake. It is also extremely short, as if it's designed for children. It definitely isn't want they described so I'm returning it, even though it's really inconvenient to have to drop it back off at UPS. I never write negative reviews and this is so close to being a really nice item, worth the price, if it had a real top instead of this childish, cheap looking laminated wood. Also agree the packing was a pain! So much time wasted digging out the peanuts and then having to repack it.
