I bought a 4-pack of the Vont montion sensor night light. It works great in our bedroom hallway which is always dark with all the bedroom doors closed. I don't like having night lights on all night long because I'm sensitive to the light coming in around our bedroom door. I also want to know that my kids are in bed. So no light most likely means they are asleep (I can see the light from the living room TV if the hallway is dark at night). I tested both the Vont and the AUVON motion sensor night lights and they both have their PROs and CONs.The Vont light is actually 3 LEDs pointing straight down in the middle and it reflects off a solid white surface of the bottom half of the night light. It does a great job at lighting up the floor and not shinning in your eyes. However, you must always place the light upright in the outlet or it will shine in your eyes instead of the floor. It has two brightness levels controlled by a physical toggle button. Because it is a physical toggle button, it won't lose its brightness settings during a power outage. The AUVON has a push button that electronically rotates between 5 different brightness settings and if you hold it you can chose the exact brightness you want (easier said than done). The motion sensor on the Vont has a wider range of detection from the sides than the AUVON. This works great for our hallway. However, the AUVON can detect motion further out in front of it than the Vont. So the AUVON works better for our master bathroom where we have it plugged in on the wall opposite of the entry door wall. The Vont's light is more white than the AUVON even though they both are advertised as warm white. The AUVON is more yellow. The light sensor is more sensitive on the AUVON. The Vont will continue to turn on even in a room with the lights on, while the AUVON will not. I actually prefer the Vont always working while in our hallway. The Vont turns off right at 60 seconds while the AUVON stays on for another 20-30 seconds. Since both lights are LED, they both use less than 2 watts of electricity while on and even less while off.So if motion detection is your primary concern, I would choose the Vont for better side motion and the AUVON for further range in front of it. If it bothers you that the light continues to come on during the day, then you might not like the Vont. The light sensor does work, but it needs to be really bright to keep the light off. Also, the Vont works best if it is upright and not on its side or upside down. It's still a nice light for the right application!

I got these lights to assist my parents to the see to the restroom at night without waking the other . Worked amazingly & they loved them. Didn’t shine too bright to keep them awake but enough to light the way . Great product!

I absolutely adore these night lights! My husband gets up early to go to work, and has to sleep in complete darkness, so even the smallest amount of light will keep him awake, but I get up in the middle of the night to take care of the baby. I have tried sensor nightlights, but the sensor just senses the absence of light, meaning they are on all the time once the lights are out. It isn't too bad in our own home, my but when we are visiting family, it is hard to find a solution where I can take care of the baby and my husband isn't awakened by me turning on a light. I love that these have a switch that lets you turn them on always, or off, or uses the motion sensor. I can get up in a completely black room, and as soon as I get up, it recognizes my movement and turns on. Furthermore, they provide a great amount of light, and there is a button to brighten or dim them (bright/low). Once up, I turn the night light on to take care of our boy, and then back to auto when I am done. This gives me enough time to get back into bed before it shuts off (about 1 minute).I also love that I can pulling these in facing up (more light) or down (less invasive to my sleeping husband).I got these as part of a rebate deal, however, I was in nowise incentivised to write this review, and when they go out, I will definitely be buying more!I am becoming increasingly impressed with the Vont brand. Feels like quality stuff in a world where quality is diminishing. Thank you, Vont! :)

I really wanted to love these night lights, and for a minute I did. But they have a few shortcomings in my case that make them more frustrating than useful. Because my bathroom light is connected to the loud fan, I use the night light for late night runs so I won't wake anyone.The light they give, using the bright setting only, is pretty decent. I could read something from about 4-5 feet away, so nice lighting. The issues are that this light has poor motion detection and the light stays on for only about 60 seconds before I have to flail my hands to get it to come back on again. Sometimes I'm standing right in front of it washing my hands and it will turn off. Because I'm using it to keep from turning on other lights, I didn't want to have to fumble around to turn the motion detection option off...and then turn it back on before leaving the restroom.So while it gives good lighting, it's inconvenient in my opinion for anyplace where you actually want to use the motion detection and see what you're doing for more than 60 seconds. It's also inconvenient if you aren't going to be standing directly in front of it and moving in an obvious way. It does not pick up small movements and isn't consistent with movements outside of its direct line of detection.

I have them in the hallways and bathroom. They look great, and they give just enough light so I can see when I get up at night. Way to go!

Good brightness & motion lights. Nice that it's offered in multi pack . Have purchased other vont products and have always been happy with quality of items purchased. Great money for value. Good color of light. Motion sensitivity is good from 15/20 ft away. Family member liked them so much they bought some also. Would recommend and purchase again.

Work great! Only activate when the sense movement! Nice price!

Out of all the night lights this is the winner. Adjustable timer shut off after motion activation especially with those nightly trips to the bathroom. Goes off a few seconds after getting back into bed. Use them around the house. Love ‘em.
