The big advantage in these controls is that they do not have to be set up. Just plug in and they work straight away. Great as we still have power cuts here in Scotland so no moving furniture to get to sockets to reset them. Would buy this brand again.

Works perfect, simple and easy to use

Got these to control garden lighting, house is newly rendered so no way did it want electrical feeds coming into the house, ran the circuit off the garage and the remote works well over 15 meters. I got these over wifi sockets as I did not want another app on my phone and reading reviews the wifi sockets can lose connections and people end up faffing around with the app to make the socket work, sometimes the simplest solution is the best.

So far, so very good! These units appear to be an excellent product. They couldn't be easier to install - plug them into a socket, insert lights plug, pull battery tab out of remote control unit - job done! The remote unit's claimed range appears to be accurate.

I have several of these DEWENWILS Remote Control Sockets, purchased over a period of time.They represent very good value for and are easy to install and operate. I use them for such tasks as controlling Christmas lights, bedside lights and isolating supplies in my music studio. The keyring is a novel and useful feature as it allows you to hang the remote control somewhere handy if so desired. The sizes of the socket and control are practical yet compact. I will definitely buy these again in future, as needed.

Worked perfectly for 3 months then became erratic. Now failed completely and refuses to turn off, even with the manual override switch. .........Edit. This issue has been resolved almost immediately. The seller has provided me with a new replacement unit, free of charge. Great after sales service.

Excellent, we have two sets for different rooms, and they work brilliantly

Having purchased a Bluetooth transceiver to accompany my new wireless headphones, I also then needed a power plug because the transceiver whilst having a power cable, did not come with it's own plug. This was then purchased from Amazon and then I set about emptying my hifi cabinet of all my seperates and several hundred vinyl albums to lighten it sufficiently to be able to get at the powerpoint hidden behind. However, having set everything up and returning all of the cabinets fillings, I then found that I could see the bright LED light upon the new power plug which was quite annoying and reminded me also that whilst it was only using a miniscule amount of power, it was, nonetheless, consuming power!So I went back to Amazon to find myself some remote controlled plugs because there was no way that I was going to be pulling the cabinet apart every time I used the hifi to switch the power on or off and was actually amazed to see how many varieties there were.After looking at plenty, I eventually whittled it down to the Dewenwils 13 amp remote controlled plugs (pair) as they certainly had a healthy review rating made over many thousands of ratings....and am I happy? You betcha! After trying them out and seeing that they were not "line of sight" it made their installation behind my hifi cabinet an absolute must because once installed I could actually turn off the power to the pair of extension cables individually too. Brilliant! Easy to install and easy to work and now I am going to purchase more so that all the items in the house which are consuming power when on standby and where it is difficult to actually turn off the power without moving furniture will then be attached to a remote controlled plug.Fully recommended to any household consuming power unnecessarily in these cost and environmentally- conscious times particularly where turning off such items is not easy or require the moving of furniture each and every time!
