Easy to use
As a beginner this pack is very easy to use without a huge layout in expense

Colours named on label- essential!
In contrast to another reviewer stating that they dislike labels on pastels as they are unnecessary, I strongly disagree. I myself and many other people like to know which colour they are using. I am colourblind as are a great many other people that like to draw, paint and create artwork. It is incredibly difficult to ascertain which colour you are using if it's not written on the label. It can be quite awkward to find out whether the art product that you are buying has this colour information included or not just by looking at the photographs. Manufacturers would do well to take note and include colour information on all products. After all, children have to learn which colour is which at some point and labelled items help enormously with this. The pastels themselves are of a good enough quality for the price and apply nicely onto pastelmat or similar.

Excellent!!!
I wanted some pastels for my watercolour paintings. They're behave with no problems at all. I'm not a specialist in pastels but they works for me as I expected. Of course they are not light-fast so be aware of this if you planning hang your work. Rest selection of colours!

Nice soft pastels for beginners
Only thing I can't stand is the need for manufacturers to wrap pastel sticks in labels. Not necessary. These are great pastels for beginners in a handy tin.
