Should my 60 lb dog get 1 or 2 a day?

How does this compare to nutrivet hip & joint #3 vet. strength? is it a more effective product or about the same?

I used to work in a vet clinic, so I can honestly answer that this product works about the same as anything a vet prescribes. We used Rimadyl a lot which also had the same effect. My dog is moving more freely now and with much less pain. I highly recommend this product!

I just started my 9 year old standard poodle on Cosequin DS yesterday. I am wondering if any one has experience with the product and if they switched to the Plus MSM version and why

I have a 7 yr old Westie that injured her lower back and left rear leg jumping off my bed. She has developed arthritis in those areas and the Cosequin has really helped her to get around. She will have to have surgery, but even after I will keep her on it. I recommend this product to everyone.. I will also be starting my 6 yr old male Westie on it to maintain his health.

How soon does it take effect?

We saw a deff change in our dog in about 3 weeks. Our vet said his joints are loaded with Arthritis, specially his left front leg. He thinks they are treats. weighs 110lbs. We are down to 4 tabs a day as a maintenance dose and he is very spry. He has his bad days once in a while but much better on this. The vet said the hardest thing is to get people to understand this can really help if you are consistent giving it. He also gave us a prescription med for inflammation, but so far we have not had to use it with this.
