Steam Controller + Carrying Case

The bundle is great, I was able to get it at a reduced cost because of Black Friday and Steam discounts, which definitely makes it a great deal. The controller itself is customizeable within the Steam Big Picture, just so you know. It takes time to get used to, definitely, because it's supposed to be a mouse and keyboard substitute. Note, some games just work better with a keyboard and mouse.One note about the controller, it only operates of AA batteries. I wish there was a rechargable system for it (I'm unsure if one exists, but at the same time, unless Steam offers it, I wouldn't personally use it). The batteries lock into place, one on each side of the controller, and there's a small eject button that comes out when a battery is inserted. The eject button doubles up as a battery stay, ensuring that they don't become disconnected during a heated gaming session or unexpected drop. The battery door is awkward to say the least. It's disconnected using a small switch, and it stays elevated from the controller since the paddles on the back are part of the battery door. It's a very unique design, and one that I can see wearing out quickly (probably why Steam offers battery door replacements/upgrades for sale as well).As for the case, it's got a durable exterior and soft lined interior. It also includes a velcro cable tie if you want to bring your cord as well as a spot to put the Steam dongle.If you can get this in a bundle with the controller at the same price or marginally more, I'd recommend it, even more so if you travel. If you're rough with controllers, definitely get it, since I have my doubts about the durability of the battery door.
