Do the filters have color labels? If so, which colors?

No. These filters are not color coded. When buying replacement filters it is important to know the make and model of the filter housing. Most filter units are labeled with a model number on the top of the unit. These particular filters fit my filter unit perfectly and turn yucky after about 3 months. I use them prior to my water softener. Is this the correct replacement filter for the Watts 500222 or 500223?

yes, they will work. there are a lot of different rated which will filter out different size of sediments. but most will fit the whole house filter.

Is there a maganese filter that would fit this casing?

We do not sell a filter specifically for Maganese, you would need a water media. I would suggest you contact a water dealer in your area to see what they would recommend.

My watts says Fc-s5 replacement. Will this work?

This filter kit is recommended for use in the Watts WH-LD-WHT Whole House filtration system. I am unfamiliar with the FC-S5 replacement filter, however, "S5" leads me to believe that your system calls for a 5-micron sediment filter while the filters in this kit are 50-micron sediment filters. So, to answer your question, these filters are sized at 10-inch x 2.5-inch filters and will fit most 10-inch standard filter housings, but if your system uses 5-micron sediment filters then the 50-micron will not filter as well.

These filters and the filter system are excellent. We have a well so it filters out most things like rust particulates from the old well casing. That’s about the only thing I’ve found in the clear filter housing and trapped in the filter.
