Not paid - no benefits given, I just needed a good submersible pond pump - and this one delivers. Started using the VIVOSUN 4500 Submersible Water Pump for my pond, and I must say, it has exceeded all my expectations. This pump is a solid construction powerhouse with a range of features that make it stand out among the competition. One of the standout qualities of this pump is its exceptional construction. I can definitely see how the silicon carbide material used for the shaft and drive ring will extend service life. The VIVOSUN 4500 is an energy-saving champion with low noise levels. Its ultra-quiet operation, with only 30-40 decibels of noise, is truly impressive. Furthermore, it consumes less power (220W) while still delivering an outstanding output of 4500GPH/17000LPH, surpassing many other pumps in its class. With this pump, I can enjoy a powerful water flow in my 2000-gallon pond without worrying about excessive energy consumption or noise disturbance. The high lift capability of this pump is simply remarkable. It can reach a lift height of up to 19FT/5.8M, allowing me to set up beautiful water features and fountains that demand elevation. The convenience of the portable handle and detachable filter makes maintenance a breeze, ensuring a clean and efficient water circulation system. Installation was a breeze, thanks to the adjustable outlet direction and a 20.3FT power cord, which provided flexibility and ease of use. The pump's compatibility with different tube sizes (1 1/4” or 1 1/2” internal diameter) and its ability to work seamlessly with filters makes it an ideal choice for various setups, whether it's submersible or inline use. The VIVOSUN 4500 is genuinely a multipurpose workhorse. I highly recommend the VIVOSUN 4500 Submersible Water Pump to all pond and water feature enthusiasts. Its solid construction, energy-saving features, and high lift capability make it a standout performer in its class. Whether you need a reliable pump for a pond, fish tank, fountain, or any water-based application, this pump will not disappoint. VIVOSUN has truly created a remarkable product that has made managing my aquatic setups a joy.

August 31, 2020-30 days later. I use it when I'm on my deck so approximately 2 to 4 hours a day. It runs well and is very quiet. 4500 is a lot of water; I added a flow nozzle to restrict flow and that's worked well. I got the pump on August 1, 2020. It's been a week and I have no idea how long it will last. I run it when I'm at my pond, but not any other time; that will add to the time it last. The nose is supposed to be adjustable. This pump is NOT adjustable. You can remove the nose cone to clean it, but not change the direction of flow. I tried and the unit pushed nothing; it's meant for one direction-up. I'm disappointed about it, because I did not want to see the hose sticking up above the water line like the lock ness monster's hump! Haha, but the pump pushes a lot of water and I'm glad I went higher for flow and not lower. This pump is not a trickle pump. It pumps water as much as my garden hose on full. Very pleased with the GPH.

I use this pump for my 4 foot x 14 foot pondless waterfall. It easily pushes water up about 8 feet of elevation. The pump is also very quiet. I've been running it now, 12 hours a day, for the past 6 months. It's a great pump! I am very satisfied with its performance.

Update 7/13/2021: i ordered another one as my pump all the sudden stopped spinning again. i remembered to try cleaning it again like back in 2020 and this thing is working like a champ again. Love this pump. Keeping the new order as a back up for when cleaning no longer works. Ive been using this pump since july 2019 , about 10 months now. It seemed to stop working may 11th 2020 as the fan stopped spinning when it was plugged in. Fortunatley I was able to remedy it by removing the fan and cleaning out the magnet housing inside which looked to be caked up with built up film, using a tooth brush. It is a little tricky to unlock the fan from its housing, you will need a flat screw driver something to lightly hammer the screw driver and something to wedge inbetween the screw driver and the point that locks in the fan. In addition, i messaged vivosun and they graciously offered me a solution to either refund or replace the product at no cost to me. I have to say that was very nice of them on their part. Fortunately I didnt have to take them up on their offer so kudos to them for customer service. The pump i purchased was the 4500gph version which they do not have listed anymore but i would venture to say that the higher and lower units are both probably good and worth the try and value. The 4500gph is really strong, i did no testing to show the output is actually 4500gph since well I dont know how. But, i can say it flips my 1700gallon fish pond over rather well causing enough flow that my pond stays clear. The flow was so much that i had to add two diy overflow 2" pipes to a 1 1/2 and 2" pipe outlets for the return. This thing easilly shoots up water 4' off the ground. The intake fans seem to be designed in away that algae/debrie does not clog up on it or at least i havent had that issue as of yet. However the cover to the fans can get clogged if its not ventilated well for flow or if the debri is too big and cakes up around the entire inlet casing. As i mentioned earlier, the fan can stop if film from debrie and water minerals forms a film on the inside of the motor and the fan magnet itself. in the inside of the magnet housing the fan rests in. My only consistent complaint i have about this pump as another customer has mentioned is the inlet cover that protects the fan. It is loose and can come off if not secured in some way. It does not lock well in its current design. I use pvc piping to connect to the outlet on the cover and secure rhe cover from coming off by usinf large stones inside a bucket that holds the fan in place. The pvc piping basically gets hold by the stones which inturn keeps the cover from moving. Im sure one can find other clever ways to keep it on. This pump can take either hosing or pvc piping, which us great because i prefer pvc over hoses for this thing. Also the pvc connectors can easilly be found at home depot. There are a few options to connect it, i used a threaded coupler with smooth end to attach pvc. I forgot what size but it shouldnt be too hard to figure it out. I would recommend anyone to try vivosuns models of this type of pump. The cost and effeciency is worth it. I do not believe my pump stopping due to the film build up was a defective reason and more of a wear and tear cause so well see as i continue to use the one i currently have.

This pump is strong. It's well built. The casing and It's "footprint" or base is sturdy and sits well and the "cone shaped" connector is designed to fit a number of hose sizes. If you're using a larger hose, cut the smaller part of the hose connection off of the adapter with a hacksaw. Leaving the smaller end on the fitting will increase water output pressure, but it cuts down on outpup volume. A stainless automotive type hose clamp works well. Switching out the old inoperable pump with this one was a ten minute job requiring only a screw driver to tighten the clamp. So far, an inexpensive replacement with very strong output.
