XZN Triple Square Spline Bit Socket Set, Metric, 10-Piece

Update: I have been using this set for years now. I have done multiple head jobs with them. When I strip and Allen or torex bolt I hammer in one of these and it pulls it right out. I have even used them as broken bolt extractors. I cannot recommend enough. I work as a professional mechanic for over ten years my tool set is all snap on and mac so you can understand what I look for in quality tools. I bought these to change the water pump on my 03 VW gli. I would like to start with saying that before I decided to buy these I tried to get buy with using an Allen bit to pull these spline bolts out and although I got 2 of 3 out I pretty much stripped the third bolt and forced myself to buy these. Once they arrived I took the bit that fit and hammer it into the bolt and to my surprise it grabbed what was left of the bolt head and pulled it out after I pulled the bolt out I looked at the socket and bit and again to my surprise it showed no sign of being beat on at all all the points of the spline looked like it just came out of the box so I continued on and after I reinstall the pump I looked at the bit again expecting to see some twist to the bit or some signs of wear that you would expect for a tool of this price but I didn't see anything it still looks unused. My conclusion on this product is it is well worth the money for the DIY weekend worrier or for the new mechanic building their tool set you can use these till you break a bit and than replace it with a snap on or mac or whoever you prefer than use the lifetime replacement to replace the original broken bit that way you'll have high quality tools and backups for the bits you use most often. That is what i plan on doing.

These bits worked as expected where tight space was not an issue. The only downside that I encountered using these bits is that they are too big for many tight spots under the hood. I tried to use them remove one of the transmission bolts and cooler lines on a 2009 VW, these bits were way too long--I had to use the OTC "Super Short" socket bits. UPDATE (11/2015): I have used the bits several times since my first review where space limitations were not an issue. These bits are some of the strongest and toughest I have ever used (at least compared to Craftsman and Snap-on). For example, I used a 3/8" bit with to a 1/2" adapter and turned it with a 24" long 1/2" drive breaker bar to break loose rusted bolts. The Capri Tools bit held up and didn't even bend any of the triple square splines on the bit! The 1/2" drive breaker bar and extension visibly twisted (slightly) during removal, but the bit still held up to this load. Worth every penny.

I like the set, has everything i need to work on my Audi Q7 and remove the brake calipers with ease. I found the quality to be very good.

I bought these bits to work on my friend’s 2017 VW Beetle. If you’re looking for the specialty bit to remove the skid plate so you can change the oil, this is what you need. As a general rule, I determine what grade of tool I buy based on how often I need it, and how critical it is to work. Tools for infrequent use are generally cheaper ones. “Mission critical” and frequent use tools are typically higher end. I bought these bits thinking that I would rarely use them, so I wasn’t going to spend a small fortune on Snap On or other higher end bits. I have to say, I never had heard of Capri before buying these. I expected cheap bits that would “do the job”, but might not fit perfectly or have a quality feel to them. To say that I was pleasantly surprised with the Capri brand bits is an understatement. They appear to be well built, and fit the fasteners on the VW perfectly. They’re just as good as the “name brand” bits without the “name brand” pricing. I was quite impressed with them.

Feels good in the hand. Bought for the elusive 9mm Triple Square but wanted matching sockets. Time will tell how it holds up. They’re a little on the long/large side.

I like the price compared to the high-end tool companies' similar products. In my case the caliper bolts weren't in terrible condition however they were on the car for 5 plus years and were tight as H---. I had to use a large breaker bar and the tool held up fine.

Le bussole sono di buona fattura, ho usato la 18 senza problemi per sostituzione cuscinetto mozzo auto, devo dire che oramai non so più quanti tipi di serraggi diversi ci sono in giro, e non so per quale motivo, i produttori di auto utilizzano sistemi sempre più specifici. Non possono usare una brugola M12, o una testa esagonale? Va da se che se vuoi farti un lavoro da solo (in questo caso di 10 minuti) o ti compri la chiave apposita o vai dal meccanico.

Acheté pour démonter un étrier arrière de VW Passat B6, je m'attendais à un produit à usage unique. Le genre d'embouts que si ta clé est de travers, on flingue la tête de vis. Or il n'en est rien ! à la clé à chocs (pourtant pas fait pour ce type de torture), les embouts ont fait leur office sans broncher. Pas d'usure anormale, pas de torsion et pas de tête de vis flinguée ! Pour le prix, ce petit coffret est digne des marques de milieu de gamme pro. une bonne surprise donc pour cet achat.

I needed a 12 point socket to remove CV axles from a 1988 Mercedes 190 parts car. I did sock the PB blaster to it over several days, dug out the crap inside the heads with a screwdriver and used a steel brush in an effort to have them as clean as possible before trying to remove them. This set worked perfectly. I took my time, frequently cleaned the notches on the socket as I worked, and the bolts all came out with no stripping. The socket I used shows no abnormal signs of wear. Nice solid case. Overall a decent value for the money home mechanic set for sure.

Excellent product Used to take off the brake carrier on a mk7 golf using the size 14. Came off no problem even with one of the bolts on the car being slightly twisted. Super strong teeth on these sockets. I’m a weekend warrior Diyer so was a bit do I buy these at the price and glad I have. Highly recommend these definitely quality product made to last
