If i didnt put any of the plush/ grey felt covers over the teal plastic shelves- would this stil work& stay together? want to put this on the catio.

Hi! Absolutely, you can still use this Mega Kit without the plush/gray felt covers. It will work the same and go together the same way. If you have any further questions, please contact (info@sportpet.com)

I purchased it but I don’t see the scratch post. It comes with it?

I bought a variation of this, but it looks like there are different kid or sections you can buy to add to this one and some if them have a scratching post. Look thru all the pics they have and you can see the post but only with a different kit to add to original.

Would I be able to use the parts from 2.0 to replace the original version? Does the 2.0 version have metal rods or plastic rods like the original?

I have 2 of these and there isn't any metal or plastic in my Kitty City Claw item. The item is soft and my cats love it.

How would this survive outside on a covered porch?

As long as it doesn’t get wet, it should be fine.
