Can I use this to put in a water play table or would it be better to get regular sand?

Can you mix the classic kenetic sand formula with the beach sand formula?

From the research I have done, it looks like you can mix them. It appears they are both made up of ultrafine sand and polydimethylsiloxane (also called dimethicone).

We received our sand today but one of the bags was cut open. Don't think any sand was missing but why would you send a cut package? I mean really cut.
