BLANCO Precis Cascade Kitchen Sink, Coal Black 29"

We've had this sink for 9 months and I feel like I can now offer my informed opinion. It is a wonderful product; much better than I ever expected. I worried about the black finish showing mineral deposits or just looking dirty or hazy but it doesn't. The only thing that will temporarily mar the finish is powder based cleaners like SoftScrub or Ajax. They don't damage it but they do sit on the surface and it takes some work to get the powder rinsed off. Every 6 wks or so, I dry the sink and then rub it with a few drops of olive oil on a paper towel. Makes it look like new. The layout of this design is brilliant. The small elevated section is wonderful for draining pasta and keeping it out of the water or for washing vegetables and keeping the clean ones out of the main sink. The stainless basket that fits the right hand section is great for sponges/scrubber or dirty silver wear or drip drying a few dishes. If there is any negative it would be that the sink doesn't come with a basket/strainer for the drain. I can't stress enough how much I love this sink. The finish is beautiful, it's easy to keep clean, it still looks new after a year of wear and tear, but most importantly: the basket/cascade area is wonderful and versatile, able to accommodate a wide range of tasks. Sure, it's great for air drying dishes or washed veggies, but it's also handy for drying large cutting boards by standing them between the basket and the sink edge. And seriously, everything fits in this huge, deep sink. I was a little worried that it might be shallow compared to other 'deep sinks'; however, since it is an under-mount you gain an extra inch of depth due to the countertop. Washing 14" fry pans, dutch ovens, large baking sheets, whatever... they all fit easily. I also bought the smaller prep sink for my butlers pantry, and it too is wonderful.

We love the sink. However, triple check with your installer. We purchased the sink after consulting with what we could get given our specific space, the matching drain, and undermounts. The installer would not use the undermounts, the company had their own... The matching drain was apparently not compatible with the disposal we bought. More importantly, the sink is great, easy to clean, looks and works great for our needs. The small raised shelf and basket is also a benefit for our use. Thankfully, Amazon did provide refunds on the drain and undermounts.

We love the sink, the under-mount is great to sweep things from the counter into the sink. The large basin fits all my pots and pans, even my cookie sheets. The basket is great for keeping silverware in one spot. It drains well and looks good all the time.

Beautiful sink and quality appears high. The color is rich and texture is smooth. Haven’t experienced any chips after 1 year though I know 1 family who has, though this hasn’t been stated in other reviews. It shipped quickly and was securely packed.

Shopped around because darling hubby wasn't sure on a single sink. A friend showed me this one and it was a quick decision from there. I have received tons of compliments on this since installation. Absolutely made the right choice on this one.

Excellent sink, may not seem deep at first but after under mount installation adding the counter top to it's height, it's plenty deep enough for a large pot.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I've not found what looks to be a better option. The sink I received has what appears to be a manufacturers defect. I'm assuming that may be why it was an "open box" item purchased for a discounted rate. Still, I spent $240ish for an item that was apparently destined to fail. Before I installed the sink, I saw what appears to be inclusions in the corner edges on the outside of the sink (underside). I thought they may result in weak spots, and thought "well I guess that's why I paid $240 rather than $380 (estimates)). Well I was right. I mounted the sink, and had to gently coax it into alignment once installed. I loosened the anchors as to allow the sink to be re-positioned easily, and in the process of aligning the sink, I guess I put a little too much pressure (with my hand!) on the weak spot, and the sink cracked right from one of these inclusions I mentioned previously. I'm not sure if this can be remedied, as I've had the sink for more than 30 days, unfortunately, as I had to wait until the cabinets were installed and counter-tops poured in order to install the sink. I was going to just epoxy it and hope for the best, but I figured I should reach out to you first, in case this could be a covered defect, ahead of applying epoxy. Please let me know if there is any recourse, or should I just slap some epoxy on it and give up on the idea of having a beautiful, unblemished kitchen sink?Thanks,Aaron

Blanco Silgranite sinks are a great product. This seller does not include the strainer and drain with the sink. Blanco Canada does include these required parts, but this Supplier ships from U.S. The sink will accept almost any 3 1/2 inch drain, but be aware this will cost you extra. I expressed my concern that the drain is excluded, even though it is shown in the photo. The seller was king enough to offer a credit to cover the drain assembly. It is installed now and a great product at a fair price.

We chose this sink for our kitchen reno. It's great! We love the large size that lets you get a whole roasting pan in there. The raised shelf on the right is great for letting small items drain in the included basket. It also divides up the saving a bit of water when you only need an inch or two of water. We chose the "truffle" colour, and it goes great with our countertops and cabinets. Note that the strainer is not included.

We love this sink. It is easy to clean, the color blends well with our granite countertops, it is quiet, and this particular style works so well with our lifestyle and cooking habits. It is our second Blanco kitchen sink and we are still thrilled with the choice.

Sink is well made, easy to clean. I was worried about the delivery because the particular colour I chose was difficult to find, but was happy when it shipped on time. Although we like it, I am not sure if we should have gotten a double instead of this one. The small section on the right comes with a basket for holding items.
