Chike High Protein Iced Coffee Sampler Pack, 6 Protein Coffee Packets

These actually taste pretty good and I didn’t have high expectations for protein coffee. Some taste more protein-ish than others so here’s my take on the flavors (I had all of them iced) Carmel: carmel is normally one of my go to flavors for coffee so I was excited for this one but I actually think it ranks as my least favorite because it had the strongest protein after taste Mocha: same thing for mocha, I normally love it but this one had a fairly strong protein after taste Vanilla: I normally hate vanilla coffee but I actually really liked this one. It did not have a protein after taste and was very smooth Original: ended up being one of my favorites. It has a really good flavor and not too strong of an aftertaste. I expected to like it, but didn’t think it would be one of my favs so I was pleasantly surprised Chocolate peanut butter : definitely my favorite and I ended up ordering a big bag of it. Very good and smooth with very little protein taste to it. It tastes like you’re drinking a Reese cup but not too sweet Cinnamon: not terrible as far as an aftertaste goes, but I don’t personally love cinnamon so it just wasn’t for me Overall I think Chike has a great flavor and does a good job about masking the protein. I look forward to drinking these every morning. Although I’m not too sure about the two shots of espresso because I never feel super energized afterwards. Either way I think they’re a great after workout drink to fill you up and get a little caffeine in. They’re easy to shake and take on the go which is also what I love about them. I also don’t think it’s too ridiculously priced compared to most protein products. One thing I did with some of them is I ended up getting the torani sugar free syrups to add a little more flavor. I combined the original with torani sugar free pumpkin and it was very good.

I love these and take them with me when I go on a cruise. They are convenient, taste great and gets me 20G of protein to start my mornings! They all taste great! I take a shaker with me on the cruise but prefer a blender as it mixes better. May have to invest in a battery whipping device to take with me on trips.

Don’t notice a huge taste difference with the pouches but overall they all taste good. I mix mine in my coffee and blend with ice.

Pros: Very convenient for travel. I love that each packet is a serving. Lets you try all of the flavors, unlike every other protein shake coffee mix I looked at, which are all very expensive for large bags. All of the flavors are sweet and smooth when blended wit ice and nonfat lactose free mik (how I tried them). Each packet has a lot of caffeine - I felt more awake after this then after my usual 2 cups of coffee. The vanilla flavor won for best tasting. The peanut butter chocolate flavor also tasted good without bitterness, BUT it reminded me too much of a PB-C protein bar and was too sweet for me. Cons: Too sweet for my husband who likes his coffee black. Even the original flavor tasted more like a latte, even when made with water. Some of the flavors had a bitter after-taste - the original/plain packet would have been my favorite if not for the aftertaste. The mocha flavor was not chocolatey and I did not like it. The caramel flavor was surprisingly the worst because I could taste the protein powder throughout, despite making it smooth in a Ninja blender, and I could not finish it. I was surprised.

Highly recommend buying these if you are unsure what taste you like. I had saw the mocha one at sams club cheap one day and thought to myself that it sounded like a great idea to have iced coffee AND protein all in one. Especially since my doctor said I needed to up my protein while trying to diet and lose weight. Got the sample pack to try them and and honestly I loved them all but the mocha was my favorite out of the bunch so I went and got the mocha big bag and drink that every day. I don't need to add any sugar or creamer to it at all and it just taste great to me.

I've been looking for a new caffeinated protein shake since Kelloggs discontinued their products. As I placed an order for a protein powder for my fruit smoothies, I stumbled upon this product and decided to give the variety pack a try... And glad I did! I tried the chocolate peanut butter first with water. The flavor itself was good, but I realized I'm not a fan of using the water as my base as I wanted something a bit creamier. Next up, tried the caramel coffee, but added oat milk for some extra carbs. It was delicious, but a bit too sweet for me. I'm also not a huge caramel fan so perhaps it's perfect those who do love caramel. FYI, I stuck with oat milk for the remainder of the packages. The cinnamon flavor started with a punch of cinnamon flavor that mellowed out the longer I drank it. Not my favorite, but wasn't horrible. The mocha flavored one tasted more like a chocolate shake than mocha, but still delicious. Even bought a bag at Safeway since it was on sale. The vanilla was another favorite. I'm kicking myself for not adding ice to this one to balance out the vanilla sweetness. Still didn't deter me from buying a couple of bags at Safeway! The iced coffee was another fave. I could probably drink this all day, but I think the amount of caffeine and protein would destroy my body... Overall, highly recommend. The variety pack is worth it to try out different flavors before committing to a bag that provides 14-28 servings (depending on whether you want a mild 1 scoop or standard 2 scoops added to your 10 oz drink). This also isn't like your cocoa powder mix, you really need to blend this in so it doesn't provide a gritty mouth feel. I use a regular cup and spoon, spending about 2 minutes of stirring to make sure I've blended it well. After, if I want my drink extra cold I'll drop in a couple of large ice cubes. Some may say this is expensive, but considering it stops me from buying Starbucks (my specialty drinks cost ~$6 each) or breakfast (~$7-15 in my area) I consider this a deal. Bonus is that each serving is the equivalent of 2 espresso shots so I'm also saving on calories and added sugar spent on coffee and creamer.

I gave this a 3 star based on the fact that it is too sweet for me and the sweetness tasted artificial. If you're the type who don't mind using artificial sugar even something like monk fruit then you won't mind the taste. I'm very sensitive to any kind of artificial sweetener. What I do like is that it has 20 grams or so of protein as I am trying to add more protein to my diet. I have since discovered I can make an espresso and add a scoop of regular whey protein to get the same result. The espresso or coffee has to be cold so the protein powder does not clump. The other thing I like about this product is the consistency as it mixes easily with regular room temp water. What has worked for me to try to get through this product and not toss them out is to add a shot or a cup of coffee to dilute the sweetness. Unfortunately I will not be ordering again. Glad I tried the sample pack before committing to auto ship.

I wasn't sure if I would like the taste or not, because some protein powders tend to have an aftertaste. This one does not! I was presently surprised. I decided to start with the sampler pack, so that I could try most of the flavors without having to buy a large pouch of a flavor that I might not like. My pack included: Caramel, Triple Shot Espresso, Vanilla, Mocha, Original, and Sweet Cream. I have purchased two sampler packs so far, and have tried them mixed with water and almond milk. The powder mixes smoothly, and It tastes outstanding with water or almond milk! It has a true coffee taste and strength without tasting like it's watered down. My favorites were Original, Vanilla, and Mocha. I wouldn't say that the drink alone would be enough for a meal replacement or appetite control. Although, due to the calorie count, I understand why that may be a recommendation. I usually eat a banana or chia pudding with it. I haven't tried it yet blended as a smoothie with a banana. That may work better for appetite control. As far as value for the money, I would say it's less than or comparable to purchasing a protein coffee at a coffee shop. I would say that it is definitely work the try!
