Much easier to use than the standard chainsaw sharpening kit. If you've got a Husqvarna chainsaw, just get this kit or reconcile yourself to buying new chains. Good value. It allows me to rotate between 3 chains, so when the time comes it's easy to just pop on a sharp one. It's amazing what a difference a sharp chain makes. You should plan to swap out chains about every 3 tanks of gas to keep your cutting efficient.

I know with practice you don't need the guide tool, just the file, but this worked really well for a beginner. Keeps the file aligned in one direction, and you just need to keep it parallel with the sides of the guide tool as you file. The tool is slanted even so that as you file down the tooth, the overhang stays consistant. Just keeps it simple. I'm not a professional, just dropping dying trees from time to time for firewood for personal use. Works like a charm, and some of it even has dedicated spots in my husqvnarna chainsaw case.
