Any one come up with a Fix for how loud this watch is? Drives me nuts.

I took the battery out of mine and now it is incredibly quiet! With that little fix, It may well have become the quietest watch I own. If you're not as tech savvy as me, I suggest cutting out two round pieces of bubble wrap and glue one to the bottom of the watch case and the second one over the top of the watch crystal. It may be a little harder to read the dial, but it will be well worth it!! It will totally eliminate that hideously loud ticking that should not be present on such an expensive, high quality time piece as this!!

Does this have Indiglo?

Hi Stacy. Yes, this Timex watch does have the Indiglo backlight.

What are they trying to say with this?: "Water resistant to 99 feet (30 M): withstands rain and splashes of water, but not showering or submersion"

I bought this watch in September of 2013 and have worn it in the shower, in the bathtub and while swimming in pools and lakes. During that time I have had no problems with it. The instructions that come with the watch say that it is water resistant up the 30 meters below the surface but that it should not be used for diving. What I've heard is that once you change the battery on a watch, it isn't water resistant anymore, but up until you do that, it should be fine.

Is this the version with the red second hand? The user pictures show the hand as being olive, but the official picture shows it as being red.

Depends on the style you choose. I have the grey model with the orange/grey strap and the second hand is the same color as the hour and minutes hands...chrome.
