Good product
Works great. It’s easy to cycle and format drives. I use it for archival storage. It’s plug and play, with fast speeds.

Super Convenient and Fast for My Drives
I got the SABRENT USB Type C SATA Dock to connect my 2.5” and 3.5” SATA drives externally, and it’s been fantastic. Setup was a breeze—just plug and play with no extra drivers needed. The USB-C connection makes transfers fast and stable, and it supports both SSDs and HDDs easily. I love that it can handle both sizes of drives, so I can swap them out whenever I want without hassle. The build quality feels solid and the dock holds the drives securely. I’ve used it for backups and data recovery with zero issues. If you work with multiple SATA drives or want an easy way to access old drives, this dock is super handy and reliable. Definitely recommend it!

GREAT product! Fast and reliable when used with a variety of drives.
GREAT product! I should have purchased this years ago! This worked like a champ. I was able to drop in a variety of drives and read/write to/from them. The speeds were fast and I had no errors or problems.

Tested and verified - 20TB drives are supported by the 2-bay, USB-C model (model EC-CH2B)
Tested and verified: 20TB drives are supported by the 2-bay, USB-C model (model EC-CH2B) of this Sabrent SATA hard drive docking station. I have been using it for two weeks with two Seagate Exos X20 20TB SATA hard drives, using the full capacity of the hard drive all the way to the top, and this docking station works flawlessly without a hiccup. I am running it on a Windows 11 laptop. I fully formatted the two 20TB drives using a full (very slow and complete) Windows NTFS format, not a quick format, just to make sure that the docking station can access the full capacity of the drive, and it formats successfully. Then, I completely filled the drive with data, all the way to the end, and read all the data back again, and it all verifies and works perfectly. I am posting this info in this review because the specs for this say that it supports up to 16TB, but doesn't mention 20TB. That's just because the manufacturer has only tested it on drives up to 16TB (I'm pretty sure that 20TB drives were not yet available when the manufacturer wrote up the specs). Conceptually, since this docking station has enough hardware addressing lines for 16TB drives, it will also work with 20TB drives (and higher capacities), but now I've actually verified this for myself. I really like this little SATA docking station. It's compact, so I can pack it up with me when I travel. It's quite inexpensive, which is a nice bonus. It doesn't need a user manual - like other SATA docking stations, you just plug it into a USB-C port on your computer, and it just works. It gives you two (potentially very large) hard drives connected to your laptop or desktop computer, to use for backups, or to store large external data files. Super easy and reliable. The one feature I wish this docking station had was 10Gbps data transfer speed, per the USB 3.x Gen 2 standard. Alas, this docking station only supports the slower and slightly older 5Gbps speed, which is USB 3.0 Gen 1. Truthfully, this is not a big deal, because the SATA III standard for hard drives only supports 6Gbps anyway, so the 10Gbps is overkill, and the 5Gbps speed of this docking station is almost as fast as the 6Gbps maximum speed of SATA III. But still, faster is better. There is another dual-bay SATA docking station here on Amazon that supports 10Gbps - it is the StarTech Dual-Bay SATA Docking Station (10Gbps) . However, I discovered that for some reason that StarTech dual-bay docking station is not compatible with the USB-C shipset in my Clevo laptop. So, I got this Sabrent dual-bay docking station instead, and it works great.

Good speed, good fit, works with two drives at once.
I've had this for a few days now, used it to transfer some data without having to keep powering my PC off/on and swapping drives. I've had no issues using it, using multiple 3.5", multiple 2.5", or mixes at the same time. Just a basic transfer in Windows 11, reading from two 3.5" HDDs in this enclosure going to a SATA 3 RAID 0, was going at 60 MB/s per drive. Going to a SATA SSD was a bit faster, but I don't remember the exact numbers. The power cable is ~5 feet, which may be a problem depending on your setup, but it's easily solved with an extension. I had no problems with stability or fit with either 2.5 or 3.5 drives, even some odd-sized ones that I pulled from old external drives. I will say to make sure you eject the device through your OS when possible, and don't pull mechanical drives without giving them time to spin down first. I saw some reviews before I got this saying that only one drive was accessible. If that's the case for you, you may want to swap the drives in the bays of the enclosure to see if the same one is visible, and check your disk management software to make sure your disk is mounted/initialized.

No brainer clone dock, FANTASTIC!
Cloning so smooth I can't believe it! I still use Acronis for my.day to day backups but to clone w/ Acronis they still tell ypu the best way is to have the HD your going to clone be mounted in the pc. This makes it so simple to use cloning time is about the same using Acronis. It took a few hours to clone a 1TB hard drive. Wish this Sabrenet model was available years ago and if it was not I happy I found this recently. Only one minor issue, for us old folks I wish they had printed on the body of the unit Master.and Clone slots instead of thr black A and B letter over the slot. To the manufacture will.a adapter ever be made so I can clone from.a HD to a sd card or micro sd card?

Started dropping A drive
*** Updated September 29, 2023 *** For about the last week, the A drive has been disconnecting overnight. It happens every night. It does not seem to be related to any activity. It does happen after my overnight mirror utility runs, but it’s not right after it runs. I’ll be looking for another brand at the next Prime Day sale. *** Original Review *** My setup is a Mac with user directories stored on an external HD. I use a dual cradle, with Disk A holding the user directories and Disk B being a backup that is mirrored every night using SuperDuper. I've had this setup for over 10 years. I have always used Inateck cradles, but I finally upgraded to a Mac with Thunderbolt, so I wanted to switch to a cradle with USB C. Inateck's is unavailable, so I gave Sabrent a try. It set up fine, but Disk A would disconnect at least once every day. Upon restarting everything worked fine, but I knew eventually it would corrupt the HD, or it would disconnect while I was in the middle of something important. Reading the other reviews about cable problems, I swapped out the included cable with another I had on hand. So far so good - no disconnects, and even though I can't remember where the cable came from, I have noticed no drop in speed (I think it was most likely a charging cable that came with an Anker battery pack). I found it odd that it would be a cable problem when only one HD was disconnecting, but after a week with no problems (and daily disconnects before that), it's looking like it was the cable. It appears this is a pretty common problem. If Sabrent can't ship a decent cable, I would prefer they ship no cable at all. The cradle isn't very expensive, so I don't mind purchasing my own cable. I'd rather be forced to do that than risk a data loss from the included cable.

Power Supply
This is a reliable product and works well at reasonably fast transfer rates. Be careful where you buy since your purchase may 'not' include the power supply for your country. Sellers only sell product as is ...

Funktioniert perfekt
