Cricut Smart Permanent Vinyl (13in x 12ft, Shimmer Silver) for Explore and Maker 3 - Matless Cutting for Long cuts up to 12ft

This gold shimmer vinyl is so pretty. It is thin, but cuts and weeds well with my Cricut Explore 4 machine. The color is beautiful. I have also used it for die cuts. Love the 12 ft. length.

I bought this for one of my wedding projects. I didn’t read the reviews until I had already bought it and was kinda scared to use it after them. But honestly it was AMAZING!! I didn’t have any problems with it at all. I always cut with a deeper cut than what the recommended is and it was very easy to weed. Then I used the extra sticky transfer tape it came it and just really made sure it was on there before turning it over and pulled the backing off. It went right on my project with no issues and then the transfer tape came right off. I have to say I’ve used vinyl like this before so I knew how to handle working with it.

Thick and no bubbles with this product. I had to set my circuit machine to cut light card stock but otherwise it was super easy to work with! Will repurchase! I just wish it came in more colors.

I love the smart vinyl! The most dreaded part about using my Cricut machine was having to keep the mats clean/scraping them. The smart vinyl eliminates this issue, the mat is on the back of the vinyl! This smart permanent vinyl applies beautifully (I used it on my hallway ceiling to make stars and constellations). The adhesive is holding up well, and it’s been 7 ish months since I applied the vinyl to the ceiling. I believe this works extremely well, especially without the need for a mat.

So disappointed! I purchased a cricut 3 and ordered a bunch of vinyl in different colors to make a sign for my business. First the newer cricut is 13" wide not 12" like previous models, so the vinyl I ordered for this thing I can't use. So I come back on here and find the proper vinyl. I got this brand because cricur likes to screw people so you have no choice but to buy their vinyl for this machine! I get this whole thing figured out and load up this nice black permanent vinyl, I print it out and after the frustration with smaller paper and losing a few days I'm finally printing! Wonderful right?? So I lay out my 5' long 8" high letters perfectly and line up the sign im using, I even went as far as to buy the ripoff cricut transfer paper because I didn't want anymore trouble, I needed to get this sign up and hanging in front of my business. I carefully unroll and lay down the transfer paper over my beautiful letters, one by one im working out any wrinkles or bubbles. I mean business here and im coming down homestretch right? Not so fast! After using a chalk line and getting my measurements perfect so that I can lay down my letters in perfect order I go to peel back the ridiculously priced transfer paper and I couldn't get the first letter to stick to it!!! After 2 hours of gently pulling back the transfer paper and lifting my letters off the paper and manually sticking them to the transfer paper I gave up in total frustration! Hence this insanely long review! I needed to step away and regain my composure before trying to figure out another way to get the letters to stick to transfer paper. All that being said, this is NOT a transfer paper issue! This is THIS black vinyl (which is metallic black) of course it never mentioned that it is metallic. Hence the surface is lightly textured causing the transfer paper not to stick at all! So tomorrow is our grand opening and it's already 2pm on Friday and I won't have a sign for our grand opening!! This is not because I procrastinated I have had one set back after the next with this silly vinyl cutter and the crooks that make this thing and their outrageously over priced over sized junk vinyl!! I am beyond frustrated!

I might just be an idiot, but I did not understand that "shimmer" meant textured. I am a cricut noob, too, so that's part of it. Anyway, for anyone who doesn't know, you need strong grip transfer tape for this baby. Otherwise well done.

It is the genuine stuff, a nice colour, but so expensive.
