Finally found my helmet!
I tried five different mid-range adventure helmets before I found this one. Helmets really depend on a lot of personal factors and riding style. I spend about 90% of my time on firebreak and desert roads and trails. I am usually only at highway speeds to get from one trail to another. I struggled to find a modular helmet with a peak. Both are needed during slow-going on scorching desert trails. In fairness, the peak does cause light buffeting above 50 mph (as all peaks do). It is easy enough to remove the peak if you are on the highway for any long amount of time (I am not). The internal sunshade actually goes low enough in this helmet (the Nolan and Scorpion I tried both failed here). My communicator system fit in perfectly.I'd love an OEM quick-release chin-strap, but I had to do an aftermarket one. Only the Nolan had this feature though, so you can't really fault Fly for that.Fitment is very personal, but this helmet follows in line with most helmets. I usually wear a Large, and that fit me here, too.

Snug fit
I want to love this helmet to 5 stars, but...it's a very snug fit. At 24.5", I thought I would fit the XL, but sent it back for the XXL, and still it's a snugger fit than I would prefer. I have a fairly square jaw, and the cheek pads of this helmet are TIGHT. If I chewed gum there might be a problem. With an upright, adventure bike sitting position tbis helmet will be fine, but in my opinion a leaning forward, sport bike posture might be problematic for fit. I think another reviewer mentioned that glasses don't fit. My glasses fit, barely, but I wear fairly thin wire frames and I have to work them a bit into a comfortable position. Once set, though, they don't move and they don't rub. I estimate my head at 10.25" tall by 7" wide, which I think makes me a moderate round oval. I love this helmet's features, though, once I converted to a ratchet chin strap (I don't like messing with d-rings). I tried the cheaper ($180?) modular adventure from Fly Racing (Trekker?), but felt that the beak was set too high for my purpose (sunshade) (but I loved the fit of the XL Trekker, was hoping the Odyssey would fit the same, but, alas) This helmet's beak position suits me perfectly, at 1.25" visible at the limit of my vision. Just a slight tip of the head downward will elliminate that pesky equinox glare on the road during those times of the year, and morning/evening glare otherwise. I have to open the Odessey to comfortably install it; but that's one reason I've traded out a full face for this modular, the ease of getting the helmet past my ears! I can't address wind noise yet, but I have a fairly large windscreen on my KLR anyway, so don't expect this to be an issue. I always ride with ear plugs, so sound is not a huge consideration. The venting is simple to work, though the wind shield has to be lowered (at least 1 down) to get my sausage fingers at the lid top vent, which might be an issue if you wear goggles; I suppose in that case you could just remove the windscreen. Love the multi-position shield, as it makes for easy adjustment when I want more air flow. Installation of my Cardo Edge was easy, though I had to use the glue pads, as the clip mount will not fit this helmet. The Cardo mounts so low on this helmet that there is minimal wire exposure, unlike my other modular (Z1R Solaris), on which I had to cover the wires with Gorilla tape. Otherwise this helmet has a good quality feel. The chin bar release button pulls down and forward, so accidental opening is highly unlikely. The ECE rating doesn't hurt either. I don't find the weight to be problematic; it's not particularly light, but with an upright riding position it is hardly noticeable. I think this helmet is a keeper.

Great Modular system and features; heavy brick on your head
This helmet looks good and is very comfortable on your head. The xl fit perfect. Thereโs a reason Southern Arizona motorcycle cops use modular helmets. Very convenient. Sun visor is actually dark smoked. My comm system fit perfectly. My biggest issue is the helmet is heavy and does not cut the air well. I ride a lot, and my neck was sore after 2 hours with this helmet on. I tried to convince myself it was me but literally took off the helmet and wore my $175 Sedici adventure helmet and instantly noticed the difference.

Excellent helmet
I purchased this helmet and had an issue with the shield rubbing on the peak, causing scratches in the line of vision. Fly Racing promptly made it right. Love the helmet.

Decent
Bought this for my wife, it's a little lighter than other brands and the shield does not fog. It does have an odd red tag on the chin strap that is only in the way. I would recommend it to anyone wanting this type of helmet.
