We purchased the VTech IS8128-11 for our office, and it has exceeded expectations. The range is outstanding — we can move throughout the warehouse and parking area without losing signal (close to the 2300 ft claim). The sound quality is crystal clear, and the answering machine works seamlessly. The Bluetooth Connect-to-Cell feature is especially useful, allowing us to pair with cell phones so staff don’t miss important business calls. The call blocking option helps keep unwanted calls out. Highly recommend this phone system for both home and small business use.

I love that only one line has to be plugged into a phone jack and other four plugged into an outlet. You get great control over how this system lets you choose so many options and controls to unwanted phone calls.

This phone system works well. As with most new electronics, it is way too complicated. The instruction manual is about 150 pages. Really. I could live without the flashing light. The automated voice that announces the calls doesn't speak very clearly or know how to read. I still haven't figured out the blocking function. The system is well-made, but some of the buttons are very small and hard to read. I wish they would ask consumers how to design easy to use features. But it is a good phone system, hence my rating.

I was replacing my ancient Panasonic phone, which started to fail. Since I was happy with it, I initially purchased another Panasonic phone, but the range was terrible; it would quit when I walked into another room 30 feet from the base. I returned it. The VTech arrived a few days ago. I was immediately impressed with the sound quality & volume - very important for me due to my substantial hearing loss. The pairing with my cell phone & the fast copying of my contacts list are great features. At first, I charged the handsets only until the three bars on the indicators showed that they were fully charged. Then, the first bar went blank after less than one day, so I thought the batteries didn't hold a charge for very long. Then, I reviewed the instructions which said to charge the batteries for 12 hours. After I did that, the three bars are still lit after more than 24 hours. I think the complaints about the batteries not holding a charge are because people are doing what I did - charging only until they see three bars on the handsets. The directions should stress the importance of charging for 12 hours, at least for the first charge. The batteries in this phone are probably the type that need to be "conditioned" before they'll hold a charge.

Seems to be a nice phone but user instructions are very, very poor. Still haven't had the time to utilize some of the features because instructions are far from clear. A minor problem was that one of the batteries wasn't functional, completely dead. Of course it was the first handset I put together so I wasted some time trying to figure out why the handset was not working. Only figured it out after putting the second handset together and switching batteries back and forth to verify. At least the batteries are reasonably priced. I had ordered this model specifically for its five handsets. We only need four but it is nice to have one in reserve. Had some trouble getting the base handset to sit properly in the base. Had to jiggle it around to get the charge connection.

VTech IS8102 Additional Handset for IS8121 Series: Item was presented as Used - Like New. I would easily say this item was 100% perfect in appearance and so far, functionality. The only thing I noticed, was the face of the phone in a NEW system, would have had a thin plastic sheet protecting the screen. This small note does not distract from the description, and I am totally happy with the cost, handling, and extremely fast shipping. It works exactly like the rest of the matching phones, easy to use, and sounds GREAT. Happy happy joy joy!

Very disappointed with these phones. Transmitting/outgoing voice quality is very poor, and no matter how you hold the phone, all the handsets behave the same - your voice sounds faint & choppy & cuts out often, and it doesn't matter if you are using the base unit phone or any other. We have an AT&T similar set of phones that work well. 2nd point - while these phones support 2 celluar lines, only 1 line can be in use at the same time, and let's say line 1 is in use & a call comes in on line 2, there is no indication that you are receiving another call. So, you will need 2 sets of such phones (incl. the AT&T brand) if you want to have both lines in use at the same time. In other words, if line 1 is in use on the base unit, & you want to use one of the extension phones to call out on line 2, it is NOT POSSIBLE. A 2nd set of these type of bluetooth phones solves that problem, although be prepared because both sets of phones will ring on any incoming call - in our case, 8 phones ring at once when a call comes in.

This is a great solution for a multi-story house! You can set it up for 2 cell phones and no longer have to run around looking for a phone when someone calls you because you can have one at hand in every room. The sound quality isn't great, but still, it's really worth the convenience of having phones everywhere just like when we had landlines.

Very good coverage for my unit just under 2000 sq ft. Very good sound quality.
