Install was easy but did feel like I was working blind, hoping I didn’t break anything. Now that I know what to expect, I could I stall in 2 minutes…. Its that simple. It fits the 2016 Lexus RX350 fSport perfectly. Once installed, the device connected to my phone without issue. App is intuitive, video quality is vg. I’ll add to this review after I use the device for a few weeks. Fast Forward. Discovered my camera wasn’t recording for over two months. Couldn’t reconnect seems like the network stopped broadcasting. I reached out to FITCAMX support. The answered promptly but…. I sensed the support agents were clueless, possible AI agents. Eventually got a new firmware file which corrected the issue. Now I’ve lost confidence that this device we be online if I ever need it.

Updated review: garbage, parking mode doesn't work! The sensor isn't sensetive enough. There have been two parking accidents and none of them were recorded. I had to update my old review. It is a WASTE of MONEY! Old review: It nicely integrates to the car design. Relatively easy to install. Good video resolution. However, it is expensive. The parking auto record function doesn't work. The camera gets extremely hot (asked the Fitcamx customer service to help, no luck there).

This is an okay dash cam. Field of view is okay, resolution is okay, light vs dark performance (dynamic range) is a little worse than okay, and the mobile app is terrible. You could get a similar quality dash cam elsewhere for 1/3 the price. But that’s not why you are looking at this dash cam. You are considering paying triple what you should because the installation on a Lexus RX is completely clean and invisible. On that front, it is 100%. Because of the uniquely gigantic front window assembly and frit on the RX, any other dash cam you get will be very noticeable from inside and outside. This one is basically invisible.

Didn’t expect much given that other dash cams I used previously with similar features were far more expensive and the spelling in the listing description just gave odd vibes. However it only took a few minutes to install once I got the trim pried open. The footage quality is great, the app is simple to use and most importantly it looks OEM and super discreet. No wires, no mess. If this holds up without issues then it is a perfect solution.

The fit is close but not 100% as there's a gap between the cover and the windshield. I got in touch with the company and after several emails back and forth they shipped me another mold. I had to take it all apart and reinstall the camera inside the new mold. And then reinstall it in the car. It's not very complicated job but not something I'd ever want to do again. The new mold fits better with less of a gap although it's still not oem level fit. I also bought another cam for my second lexus and decided not to go through this pain and live with a small gap. The video quality is ok, not great but ok. It would've been better if the camera lens was located close to the windshield and behind a dark cover. It would've helped with the reflection. But you do get some reflection in a video plus the camera itself is not the best. Installation is great. And the way it looks like it's oem product is also really nice. Basically that's the main selling point of it. The app, wifi etc seems to work fine and I really had no issues with it.

Worked great. Easy to install. Just drive and it automatically turns on. Only down side…. I ended up trading in my car for a new one, but will purchase another dash cam soon.

Camera is a little tight to fit but you have to force the rear clip to the piece that attaches to the windshield. I purchased the 4k but mine also has the option for the lower quality and its just as great. Seller sent me the wrong memory card but made up for it and got me the correct one. The app is good to although a bit tricky since your phone has to connect to it while the cars accessory is on or the car needs to be on. If you changed the wifi password in the app you need to forget the device in your phones wifi and reconnect and plug in the new password for it to work(lots of people think they cant change the password but you can). If you want to clear all settings hold the camera button for 20 seconds. Overall an excellent buy and the piece that replaces the factory piece looks OEM.

Excellent appareil photo, très facile à installer. Il fonctionne parfaitement, on ne peut pas demander mieux. Cependant, l'application utilisée pour se connecter à l'appareil photo est peut-être un peu défectueuse : j'ai dû redémarrer mon téléphone un jour et changer la carte mémoire de l'appareil photo séparément. J'ai ensuite dû rétablir complètement la connexion à l'appareil photo. Sinon, c'est parfait.
