Kipling CITY PACK Medium Backpack

Only just got it, but seems a great bag. I first ordered the 'small' version (there's also a 'mini' version) but found it too small so got this one instead. Expensive (prices vary enormously on amazon) but love Kipling so worth it. Side pockets would fit a narrow (500ml, 6.5cm dia) water bottle but not a bigger one (like a 9cm dia). The drawstring compartment is a little weird; it is very deep (handy, but also good for not finding stuff) and basically always open as the drawstring doesn't do much except look pretty. If you don't keep your bag upright, stuff will fall out of that compartment! So handy for non-vital stuff like a gloves, hat, scarf, tissues or bigger water bottle maybe. Wondering if there's anything I can do to make it close-able (glue/stitch in some velcro perhaps). A4 notepad (pukkapad) fits fine in main compartment, as does 13" laptop (note there's no padded laptop section, just a single space). The bag is not very deep so probably too small for lots of books/folders. Should be great for small hand luggage on a plane and walking around city or nature. Internal zipped pocket quite small (wold have been nice if was a touch bigger so wallet etc would fit). Internal pen and phone open pockets work fine. Zipped pocket at the back is very deep and handy to keep stuff safe. Bought a chest strap (if only Kipling would offer these) as for some reason backpacks always end up sitting in my armpits LOL. Padded straps seem nice, although not overly wide and so heavy loads might be uncomfortable.

I’ve used Kipling City Backpacks for many years as they’re my favourite backpack for everyday use, especially the medium size as they’re large enough to hold everything I carry around with me, so when asked what I wanted for my birthday of course I said a new Kipling City Backpack. Although I’m not supposed to know about it, I couldn’t resist having a quick peek before it was taken away to be wrapped in pretty paper. It’s a lovely bag made of fabric that has an embossed pattern, and as usual it’s extremely well-made with lots of pockets internally and externally, strong zips, a drawstring pocket at the front, and two phone-sized pockets. Unfortunately the only thing it doesn’t have, and that my previous backpacks do, is an internal strap for attaching my car/house keys to. It’s disappointing as the rest of the backpack is exactly what I want, but it’s still my favourite bag that I have no hesitation in recommending.

Perfect size for a day bag. Lovely quality as always with Kipling ☺️

The bag itself is fine, strong, light and practical. BUT be aware that the straps, even when adjusted, are very long. I am an average size, light build, with small shoulders and the long straps mean that the bag hangs down in my lower back, which I find uncomfortable. I was about to return it, when I realised that if this is a problem for you too, you can force the padded part of the strap through the buckle to make it the right length. This is what I've done, rather than replace the bag.

I love Kipling, and found this, at a GREAT price, in the recent Prime sale - could not let it go!!! Didn't want or need another bigger/tote/weekend bag but treated myself as a birthday pressie anyway!! Has all the usual Kipling organisational pockets, tough but lightweight fabric quality and good looks! This bag will be used as a weekender, or even cabin bag for short trips as it is a neat size, but holds LOADS!! Had such a bargin with this that I bought a small version the next day, to go with it!! (Though how I am going to carry TWO backpacks at the same time, is beyond me!!)

I have purchased Black Noir City pack in medium sold by Amazon. I already own 2 older version similar backpacks from Kipling, so it is the same high quality. I really appreciate the pocket at the back which stay hidden. You can put your documents there, it is quite big. The deep black colour is stylish. It has taupe colour lining which is very luxury touch. There is no longer a long string with a little catch to clip your key ring inside of the bag which my old Kipling backpack has (only little jump ring on the outside of the bag). Please Kipling bring those back. The only thing: my backpack came with the fluffy key ring monkey (original) called Adriaan. While on the photo there's a plastic one (the one I wanted) instead. But I decided to keep Adriaan anyway as he is cute and I got attached to him. Overall I am very happy. I also purchased beige with red zip backpack for my mum as well.

My old backpack was on its last legs after having been used almost every day so I was looking out for a replacement. I stumbled upon this brand and decided to order this backpack. It's a little bigger than I need, but no worries. I love it. It's well made, absolutely loads of room, nice and secure. The extra side pockets are a nice touch but unfortunately not quite big enough to hold my mobile phone. All in all, a great buy.

Bought as cabin luggage, fits lockers easily. . Well made , lots of zipped pockets which are useful for documents, charging cables , books etc plus larger section for other luggage . Jumper, etc .

Tal y como se describe. El color es hermoso, es muy práctica y super fuerte. Lo mejor de todo es que se puede lavar y no se deforma ni pierde color. Amo kipling. Yo la uso para el trabajo diario, llevo todo paraguas, lunch, agua, café, cartera, bolsita de cosméticos y a veces impermeable 😍 es mediana así que no estorba para nada y es muy práctica para transporte público porque no hace tanto bulto.

Mi mochila favorita. Llevo años usando este modelo de mochila kipling. Lástima que en este tamaño apenas hay colores comparado con la gran variedad de las city pack s o las city pack mini; pero esta tiene el tamaño perfecto que requiero. Me gusta esta mochila por todos los departamentos que tiene, el bolsillo de atrás con cremallera lo uso para meter el móvil y me parece super práctico llevarlo ahí. Como las uso a siario pues las lavo a menudo y son resistentes

Ich habe mir den Rucksack für den Urlaub in grau /gris gekauft, nachdem meine Tochter (Teenager) so zufrieden mit ihrem in dunkel blau ist. Nun hat auch meiner 2 Urlaube und 3 Städte-Trips hinter sich und ich kann ein Feedback abgeben. 1.) Verarbeitung Einfach nur hochwertig. Die Nähte sind perfekt gearbeitet. Da geht nichts auf, da steht kein Faden ab. Das Material ist unglaublich hochwertig. Absolut leicht, toller Griff und mega widerstandsfähig. Auch die Gurte fühlen sich richtig hut an. Da kratzt nichts. Das Innenfutter ist schön hell, so dass man alles schnell findet. 2.) Aufteilung Je größer die Tasche / Rucksack um so wichtiger ist eine gut strukturierte Inneneinteilung. Denn es gibt nichts nervigeres als ewig zu wühlen bis man etwas gefunden hat bzw. im schlimmsten Fall alles ausräumen muss. Der Rucksack hier hat eine super Aufteilung. Viele Fächer garantieren Übersichtlichkeit. Es gibt Außentaschen für den Schnellzugriff, Innenfächer zum Einsortieren von großen und kleinen Dingen und (das ist mein Favourite) ein großes Sicherheitsfach am Rücken, das vor Diebstahl geschützt ist. 3.) Alltagstauglichkeit Er trägt sich sehr bequem. Die Gurte haben für jede Figur eine ausreichende Länge. Mein Rucksack hat mich häufig an den Strand begleitet. Der trockene Sand rieselt ganz einfach ab. Genauso Staub. Einmal abklopfen und sauber ist er. Er hat mich auch in Freizeitparks und Städtetrips begleitet. Da wurde er natürlich nach und nach dreckig. Ich habe ihn in grau/gris, das ist natürlich schmutzanfälliger als der Rucksack von meiner Tochter, die ihn in dunkel blau hat. Das macht aber gar nichts. Man kann sich hier getrost auch für eine helle Farbe entscheiden, denn man kann ihn ganz wunderbar waschen. Flecken dringen in das Nylongewebe auch gar nicht so hartnäckig ein. Ich habe beide Rucksäcke schon mehrfach gewaschen und beide sehen aus wie neu. Tipps zum Waschen: Zuerst den Affenanhänger abnehmen. Starke Verschmutzungen mit Gallseife einreiben oder mit einem Fleckenspray besprühen. 15 Minuten einwirken lassen. Den Rucksack in einen alten Kopfkissenbezug oder Wäschebeutel packen und bei 40°C in die Schonwäsche geben. Zusätzlich noch ein paar Handtücher mit in die Maschine geben, dann wird der Rucksack im Waschprogramm noch etwas abgepuffert. Die Schleuderzahl auf maximal 800 Umdrehungen einstellen und ganz normales Colorwaschmittel verwenden. Den nassen Rucksack dann auf der Leine trocknen. Nicht in den Trockner gebrn. Das Trocknen auf der Leine geht trotz niedriger Schleuderzahl recht schnell. Danach sieht der Rucksack aus als wäre er neu.
