Has anyone used this for paper? Does the straight edge sit flush and level with the surface?

It sits flat if the clamps are adjusted. I think if you want to cut paper you will have to use a piece of wood to clamp too.

Did anyone have the issue of the rails being rust/oxidation on the rail? First thing I noticed when unboxing the product.

I didn’t think aluminum rusts.
