I bought this thing over 2 years ago and it's still working great. Easy install from what I remember. It automatically pops on the screen when I shift into reverse, clear picture. Makes parking the truck a lot easier. And I'm still pretty amazed at how good this thing has been for $25. Great camera for the price.

The camera was so simple to install that once it was in the vehicle, it synchronized itself immediately. The picture quality is amazing, it has great night vision, and it's great for other features such as a backup camera and security camera. The camera system is wireless, which means it likely transmits the video feed from the rear camera to the monitor without the need for physical cables. This can make installation easier compared to wired systems. 1080P 5'' Monitor: The monitor has a resolution of 1080p, providing a high-definition display. The 5-inch size is likely compact enough for easy placement in the vehicle while still offering a clear view of the camera feed. 1 Rear Camera: The system includes one rear camera, presumably to be mounted at the back of the RV, truck, or trailer to provide a view of the area behind the vehicle. I ordered this to fit a pickup truck that rolled off the lot years before back-up cams were a common feature. Overall, installation was easy. The image quality is reasonable, though it is not 720p resolution as stated in the manual - it uses the CVBS (the old-style video line with the RCA connectors) which supports 480i at maximum. It's a minor niggle, since you don't really need high resolution for backing up. Night vision is decent, though for day-vision, it's a little washed out. The manual tries to be helpful, but appears to be quite poorly auto-translated. If you are not comfortable with trying to interpret what they meant in the manual, you might want to have a professional or knowledgeable friend install this. Otherwise, it's mostly a simple matter of running the video signal and reverse sense wire into the cab of the vehicle, and connecting your wires to the reverse lights and ground. There are a couple of things that are poorly explained in the manual or not at all: * The 26' video wire has a built-in companion wire, this is intended for you to run the 12v from the reverse lights back into the cab and tie into your video system. The manual doesn't really indicate that this is really just a third wire all the way down the line (but it should be reasonably obvious). * The manual covers the little loops of green and white wire, these control whether the video is mirrored (for backing) or not (so you can use it as a forward blind-spot monitor, for instance in front of the vehicle), and the guide lines (if your video system provides them, you can disable the built-in ones). Normally you would cut these as needed to disconnect them, but if you're more creative, you could even wire switches into them to control them.

I was looking for a low cost wired camera setup for my RV trailer that would allow -2- things, multiple cameras and a quick disconnect system at the hitch of my truck. In all my research it seems the second is all but impossible to find. After reading other reviews of this camera and one review in particular where the user said he was able to adapt it to do exactly what I wanted, I figured I would give it a try. I ordered the unit in March and received it in a timely manner. Since the weather is generally lousy in the Northeast that time of year and our first trip out wasn't until May, all I did when I received the unit was bench test it and look it over to see how I could adapt it to my needs. Everything worked well on the bench, so I put that aside. In order to make the quick disconnect work, it actually turned out easier than I expected. There are four coax cables that come from each of the cameras that run up to a single cable. This separate cable is about five feet long. On one end are four connectors for the camera coax cables, 12 volt power and ground for the entire system, and four other wires that can be used if you wanted to force a specific camera to full screen (if you use the left turn signal and you want the left camera to go full screen). On the other end is a thirteen pin connector that plugs in to a short connector on the monitor. That's all there is to the basic wiring. Normally this short cable would be in the vehicle connected directly to the monitor, with the coax cables running from it to the cameras. This really only works for a motorhome type setup in my mind. What I did to make it work as a quick disconnect was this. I ordered a 30 ft 13 pin cable https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019S238FO/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_12 and ran this from the bumper hitch next to the trailer cable connector up to the front of my truck (a crew cab 6.5 ft box pickup) and into the glovebox. This left about five feet of cable in the glovebox to pull out when needed to connect to the monitor. I then took the five foot adaptor cable that came with the camera kit and wire tied it to the trailer connector cable and ran it back to where my batteries are located on the hitch right behind the propane tanks. I took the four coax cables from the cameras, which I mounted one each on the left and right side ahead of the wheels and two on the rear, and attached them to the adapter cable using a generous amount of dielectric grease in each connector to help protect it from the weather. Note here that I had also purchase a couple of shorter pieces of coax cable so that I wouldn't have a lot of extra coiled up in the way. There are numerous sources available on Amazon. The last piece of my setup was to supply power. I purchased a water proof illuminated rocker switch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019UM15U2/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_11 and through a 10a fuse wired it directly to the battery on the trailer. I connected the 12v positive in the harness to the switch and the 12v negative to a ground on the trailer frame and I was all set. Back in the truck there are several ways to mount the camera, I settled on attaching the stand to the back of the camera and using a pair of small bungee cords attaching the stand to my rear view mirror. I pull the cable I need out of the glove box and connect it to the camera. When I hook up my trailer all I do is back up, hook the ball, attach the trailer wire, connect the single push together camera connector, and flip the switch in the hitch to turn on power for the cameras and monitor. When I disconnect it's just the opposite. Don't forget to turn off the power as even without the monitor attached the cameras will still be drawing power! The monitor allows multiple viewing layouts from single camera thru 2, 3, 4 and different combinations of cameras. It also allows you to rotate the view of each camera individually until you have them all aligned as you would like. Unfortunately for me the first time I actually used the camera, I ran into a problem with the monitor where it started blanking out and losing settings. I contacted the seller and described the problem. Keep in mind you are contacting someone in China so there is a 12 hour time difference. They got back to me the next day with a few suggestions for me to try. I did, but they didn't work. I contacted them again and they got right back to me again the next day asking for my shipping information. They were going to send me a new cable because they thought that might be where the problem was. Coming from China it took about a week. I tested the system with the new cable but still had the same problem. I again contacted the vendor and this time they said they would send out a new monitor. I have since received the monitor and tested the system with it. So far it all seems to now work fine. It appears the monitor was defective. Overall I believe I will be pleased with the camera system. The quality of the cameras seem quite acceptable in daylight. I haven't had a chance to try them in the night, but I am hopeful as I had the painful experience of coming home late once last year and trying to back the trailer into my yard in the dark was not something I want to do again. A slightly larger monitor option would have been nice. When you have all four cameras up at once a seven inch screen is tight. A nine or ten inch would be much better, but at this price you can't complain. The initial problems I had with the monitor were unfortunate, but I give the vendor an A++ for customer satisfaction in working with me to get the problem fixed and at no additional cost to me. Finally with the addition of less than $50 in parts I was able to customize the system to do exactly what I wanted and function as a quick disconnect setup. I really have nothing to complain about here. This camera is a replacement for one that came with a radio I purchased from Amazon 7 years ago. The original camera was fine at first, but over time it got to the point where you couldn't see anything day or night. So it was time to replace it. I went with this one and I'm extremely happy with the results it produces. Especially the night time image. Keep in mind the radio is not an expensive one. So any small issues with the image quality of the camera are not on the camera, but on the cheap display of the radio. Only small issue I have is with the secondary bracket that you can attach the camera to. It's black instead of white, but the listing shows that both brackets are white. No big deal, but I would have enjoyed it a little more if the smaller bracket was white. I drive a white car and it would've helped the camera blend in completely. Overall I'm extremely happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to others.

I bought this system because we moved into a different truck and the 7" monitor for our previous system (not this brand) was just too big for the new cab. The system was easy to install although the camera would fit much better on a smooth wall trailer as opposed to our aluminum wall trailer. I knew this when I bought the system so nothing against the product at all. One thing I would change is the antenna mount position on the camera as it is very close to the back of the housing and this can present an issue if you have molding along the top of the back wall of the trailer. If the SMA connector was moved out just a little, that would eliminate this issue. I also added a longer antenna (shown) to the camera to avoid signal drop out as the included antenna barely clears the roof line on my installation. I did run into an issue with the LCD monitor and my polarized, prescription sunglasses. I have to position the monitor vertically (position not shown) to be able to see it with my sunglasses on. At the suggestion of eRapta, I tried adding a filter layer to the monitor but no success. The monitor is very crisp and clear with great color and fits in a lot of places because it is compact. I also like the adjustability of the camera itself being able to rotate in the housing. The field of view is good. We use this camera primarily to watch our e bikes that ride back there on a rack and it works great for that. I also like the loop recording feature so if someone runs into us, I have the video. I will also use it for backing up but not often and not without a spotter. All in all, great product and great support. I would definitely recommend it and would buy it again. I had the video freeze twice since I installed this camera/display in early April, About 2.5 weeks of camping. Both times I was backing into a camp site. The one time, I jumped out of the van to walk around to inspect where I wanted the camper, leaving the engine running. I get back in and back up suddenly realizing that the video was not moving....then noticed, I was in the picture from walking around back. Ended up getting way to close to a tree!!! Power cycled it and started working again. After the 1st time, I contacted the seller about the issue and the response was that it is wireless so there must have been interference. No other help. My configuration...only a 15 foot camper with fiberglass walls (not aluminum), and a minivan. The signal strength indicator on the screen shows full strength. With the response, with everything already installed, I figured, only happened once. Well...just a few days ago, happened again. This time backing into a state park with no cell reception for any cell carrier and no wifi. Same thing, Got out, looked around, then noticed it was frozen, this time my wife was in the picture, but she was off to the side. Power cycle fixed it, think it must have been the display freezing up as the camera power cycle did not fix it. This is very dangerous. A camera system for a previous camper would mess up, but the screen would blank. Much better safety in that you then know it is not working.

I installed this camera system on my RV to have forward, rear, and side camera views and the benefits of recording. On screen the content is sharp and clear with good color balance and saturation, but the recordings appear to be over exposed and lower in fidelity, so while functional, it is not as clear as even the most inexpensive dashcam. The other issue I have with this system is that it does not save the current date/time when power is removed from the system. I put the monitor on a switch so I could conserve battery when not using the system, but when I remove power the date/time resets to some time in 2023! Not very useful if you were planning on using the recording timestamps. Note the attached video is from 7/15/2026.

Bought to upgrade my car. It has lasted roughly two Canadian winters. Decent video quality, though its not perfect Annoying to install, but considering that the hardest part is making a hole to thread the cable from inside to outside. So basically any backup cam is probanly identical in installation complexity. Only issue I've had with it has been that the power wire on the rca cable does not conduct well enough to trigger my bew radio's backup cam mode when I reverse. Otherwise I just threaded a second wire from the light to my radio and it works. *This issue only applies to my new radio as the previous would switch when it received a signal and did not need a "trigger" cable to let it know when to switch
