I purchased these to replace the original pieces of a portable backgammon board. The original pieces were larger and more difficult to manage for smaller hands and two pieces were missing. We were using two large buttons to play. LOL. The 1.25-inch replacement pieces are slightly smaller in circumference but perfect for playing and handling. They are well shaped and smooth. The slide easily on the board and do not have any sharp edges. They have a nice matt finish, are easy to clean with a damp cloth and to towel dry. I play backgammon every week and the pieces appear to be very durable. They have not had any nicks or scratches. I had not focused on the fact that they come with a new pair of dice. The dice are also easy to handle, toss and clean. The pips and numbers are very easy to read. All of the pieces pack well into the backgammon case. There is also a drawstring bag to hold all the pieces, or in my case, all of the old pieces. Good value for the price.

I liked the new tiles, but they are thinner and smaller than my original ones.

I wanted to make my grandchildren a tic tac toe game that I could decorate just for them. I looked at different game pieces, and even magnets. These are going to work perfectly. Instead of painting x and o's on them, I will leave them as they are since the black and white color will serve the same purpose. Now, Im going to buy the boards, and decoupage them in their favorite themes, then add the tic tac toe grid. These are just big enough for small hands, and I like that the edges are smooth with no burrs or sharp edges.
