NU Perch Parrot Training Scale

This is easy to use and the base is sturdy. Easily held my Blue and Gold Macaw without being flimsy. Easy to read display too. Great scale for monitoring weight and the birds stepped right up on it. Don’t buy a cheap and flimsy scale. This is worth it for you parrots’ safety.

Extremely good and accurate scale! I sadly bought this too late for my baby macaw because she began to lose significant amount of weight and sadly she didn’t survive. The doctor and the breeder did everything they could but I feel if I had this before I would have caught it sooner that she was losing weight. So I purchased this for my cockatoo to record and check his weight daily. Yes the birds are scared of it at first but with positive reinforcement he actually steps up on it now. But if your wondering if you should buy this or the “cheaper” version of another don’t think just buy this one. I follow the parrot wizard on YouTube and this product is created and sold by him and I swear you will not be disappointed. You own a parrot, this is something that should be at home too.

My gray "Piewacket" and I are begining in her new huge cage I just got her "Highness " to make toys or objects that will make her forge for food. That is why my Aviary vet said I should get a scale ( she was very impressed with the professional product I brought in to show her if it was OK ) to monitor her weight as we are going to try and make her more actIve because one will not know if she has gotten enough food. So, thus the scale and if need be I'll give her a bowl to make sure the weight is staying in the accpetal zone.

This machine is easy to set up and works straight out the box. Thanks for the extra batteries. I can use them for something else. I also brought calibration weights 1g to 20g. Machine will not weigh 1g alone. Not sure of any birds that weigh only a gram.

Works really well--as accurate as my vet's. It very well may have saved my parakeet's life, as it was the first sign he was sick (we weigh our birds every other day or so).One thing to note is that the perch size itself is larger than it appears in the picture (bird looks kind of like a conure in the picture). It's a good size for larger parrots (my eclectus and amazon have no problems--greys, cockatoos, and macaws would also work fine on this stand), but it's trickier for smaller birds to hold onto, especially if they're sick. It's only an issue for my little parakeet, as he's recently been too weak to perch.Seriously. If you're on the fence about buying one of these to weigh your parrot baby, just do it. It's so worth it for the peace of mind.

I'm glad I spent the extra money to get this scale. It's pricier than others listed but the quality is outstanding. Easy to put together and use. My girl stepped right on with no fuss.

Nice sturdy scale with a tall large perch.I weigh my macaw and also my conure on this.My macaw is blind but he steps down onto the perch.

The scale is easy to read, the perch is well made and the way that everything is slotted together makes it very stable. I have a Meyer's and he has no trouble using this scale. I use it every morning, and find it interesting how his weight very's from day to day, even if it is only by a gram. I have been very happy with the high quality of the Parrot Wizard's products, and they are well worth what you pay for them. I will not buy my little guy garbage.
