Clipquik 6 Piece Extra Large Clipper Guard Set

These clipper guards are amazing! I’m an older woman whose hair has changed as I’ve aged. The texture has changed and is not as thick as it used to be. I’ve found that clipper cuts actually work much better in cutting my hair more evenly. Thing is the guards that come with most clippers cut fairly short and a no 8 is the longest. I have a Wahl clipper and did find a number 10 made by Wahl. It was not nearly as good as the guards I had received when I bought my clippers. I discovered these on Amazon and decided to order them. They are so well made, fit my clipper perfectly and have options that will allow longer cuts. They are made from extremely good quality, durable plastic. I did think they seemed a little pricy but compared to what I paid for the no 10 made by Wahl and having so many length options with these I think it was well worth it. If you love clipper haircuts and would like longer cut options, you cannot go wrong with these. I’m very pleased!

I was so happy when I found these.. they are perfect for getting longer cuts than what comes with the originals. These are just as strong as the Wahl clippers I have and do great for getting longer cuts. They stay in place and work perfectly. I cut my sons, dads and my own hair - so these are definitely worth every penny.

They work, but are tight/hard to clock onto the clippers. I have a waltz clipper.

First off these are a pretty good fit for my Wahl clippers. They fit snug and secure, but a few need some bending of the plastic to snap in place on the clippers. The problem is I couldn’t get my 3”+ long hair to get through the longest two guards and hit the clippers. It just combs through no matter what direction I come from or to what angle I cock the clippers. Perhaps if I blow dried my hair straight up it would work. It’s still a pretty good product but for me and my hair it doesn’t quite work 100%. It’s still nice to have the shorter guards that come with it so I’ll be keeping them.

These guards are very durable. Similar to the previous Clipquik design, these still require light modification to prevent breaking the retaining tabs. Using a razor blade or pocket knife, remove some excess plastic from the two inside corners that rest on the cutting end of the clipper blade. This excess plastic is easy to see, as it is only on the first and last comb, and you can use the middle combs of the guard as a guide. If needed, remove a slight amount of plastic from the retaining tab to adjust how tight the guard fits. I compared the tab to one that came with my clippers when making adjustments. The product claims it doesn't work on some professional Wahl clippers because it was designed around home clippers with a #1045 standard taper blade and professional clippers with a #1006 standard taper blade. However, it will also work on professional clippers that come with a #1005 standard taper blade, which has an identical shape but with a 3rd screw hole, these are compatible and come standard on the Wahl Designer, Cordless Designer, Pilot, and some Sterling's.

These fit nice and tight on my Wahl Color Pro Cordless and let me leave a lot more length than the standard clipper guards that came with my clippers. They are VERY sturdy. I’ve used other large clipper guards in the past and the have been pretty flimsy which led to cutting my hair unevenly or the guards breaking. I’ve used these for a few haircuts now and don’t forsee that happening with these. I love that I’m saving money with these by cutting my hair at home, and will probably use them on my beard as well if I grow it longer. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase.

Does what I need it to do. More difficult to use than the shorter ones, but makes sense given their size. Material is slightly more stiff than the OEM ones, but I haven't had any issues with them breaking

Save money with short hair… these work a treat.

It was a mission searching for clipper guards for trimming the beard. It has an expensive price tag but I was willing to invest in these as it’s rare to find these length guards that are good quality. They fit the standard size wahl clippers easily. Only used once so far but was so easy to trim the beard. For those who keep their beard a bit longer, these are really good.
