This is a good quality tool, i use it at work every day, and im not gentle with it. Still works great after 6 months.

I bought this to measure the pre load on the pinion bearings in the rear I was redoing. I have nothing to compare it to for accuracy but assume it close within a few inch pounds. It has a dial needle to record max torque reading but you need to know it adds 2in lb to the reading since the moving needle pushes it the needle does not rest exactly were the dial needle stops. The wrench comes in a hard plastic case which is nice for storage but not for shipping. Which brings me to how the wrench was shipped its supposed to be a precision tool but you throw the hard case in a box with no padding or packing. So you have a hard case bouncing around inside a box. Really seems like a poor way to ship a precision tool and thats why 4 star rating.

Rebuilding a rear end gave me the excuse to add this tool to my toolbox. After looking around quite a bit I decided on this one based on the quality and cost. I used it to set the pinion preload in my axle and that is something you need to get right to ensure a long life to the rear end, from what I've read. I am sure that I could have found a cheaper option but this seemed like a bargain compared to some of the more recognized brands on the market. In short a great tool and glad to own it.

Solid construction. Works as expected. Stop dial is handy to see exactly where it stops.

They are good torque wrenches if they put the right label on them
