Combo Touch iPad Pro 12.9-inch (5th, 6th gen - 2021, 2022) Keyboard Case - Detachable Backlit Keyboard with Kickstand, Click-Anywhere Trackpad, Smart Connector - Oxford Gray; USA Layout

So, I bought a new one of these this week and thought I’d share with you my experiences. Eight months ago, I got one used on eBay to try. So, I know a thing of two about this case. First, I carry my iPad everywhere using a cross body leather bag. So, this case has been banged, dropped, smacked, slapped and even got a little rain once or twice. It still works great. The case is heavy, but… for protection, it does a great job. Again, heavy, between the iPad(1.5lbs) and case(1.7 lbs), you are looking at around 3.2 pounds. But, to me this isn’t awful, as long as my iPad is safe. I have the matching Logitech mouse (sand color) and an aluminum mouse pad. All easily fit in my bag with a 20,000mah battery. I can use it all day long as a portable desktop. Yes… the bag total weight is likely 8 pounds with glasses, wallet, meds, sony earbuds, a giant fold-up knife and voice recorder. My wife calls it my purse. Wives of planet Earth, no husband is going to like you calling his purse a purse. Why? Someone should do a study. This keyboard lets me use the iPad for internet, movies, writing and music all day long in most situations. I don’t need a laptop at all anymore. For file copying, I use a small usb c hub with ssd hd interface(usb 3) HDMI and SD card slots, so I can use my portable monitor (plugged into the battery). So, yeah, two monitor support is still in early days, stage manager is going in a good direction. So all of this easily fits in a small cross body bag. Well not the 2nd monitor, I got a messenger bag for that one.😁 Import features: It doesn’t need to be charged. Uses iPad power. Really great feature you find on very very few cases. You can flip it and fold backwards the keyboard under it, making a triangle, so you can use it in many situations. Take the keyboard off completely and draw with it or use the pen (which, connects magnetically and recharges. Or, you can flip and fold the keyboard back (I do this when I use it on my lap 99% of the time. Above the keyboard is a row of keys. They change brightness, search, key brightness, music control (play/pause, forward or go back) and volume. This is the ONLY case to use the Smart Connector that has this row of keys. I use this row of keys all the time. Love the feel of the keyboard when I type. In fact, my fingers are doing a happy dance even now.😁 My one complaint: I write fiction, yes, I’m a professional liar. So I type a lot. The mouse pad built in gets in the way. There is no way to disable it. But… Amazon sells an aluminum bottom, wrist rest with leather over the top. And they sell thin rare earth magnets. Put two on your keyboard, on the left and right sides of the mouse(so they sit over the magnets built into the case), then use two sided tape and stick them under the wrist rest. And, now the wrist rest sticks there very well. This case isn’t for everyone. I think the one major drawback is using this in your lap. At those times, I just lay my bag on my lap upside down and use the back as a tabletop or I use the virtual keyboard. But, for writing with a flat surface to work on, this keyboard is perfect. And when you close it, the keyboard acts as cover to protect your screen.

I bought my first iPad a month ago and decided to get a $70 case + keyboard, but had issues and knew I needed to upgrade. I spent about a week researching + deciding between the Magic Keyboard vs this Logitech Combo Touch. Personally, I love the look of the Magic Keyboard more. The floating design, the white color option, the Apple keyboard/trackpad UX, there were so many amazing things about it.. but also so many awful non-features, like not having the row of function keys to adjust brightness, volume, no escape button. Yes, its easy enough to just use the touchscreen for all those things, but why not include it in the first place? The other major con for me was that the Magic Keyboard didn’t really have a solid case to protect the iPad. Obviously, that’s to make it easier to switch between using your iPad as a tablet or with the keyboard, but if you’re planning to use it as a tablet, you will have NO protection. Someone else said they essentially had to get a different case and then remove it every time they want to use the Magic Keyboard. That’s way too inconvenient for my use. The Combo Touch solves those issues by having a case with a detachable keyboard. I’m able to use my iPad as a tablet without it taking up empty space on my desk, counter etc. It provides solid protection (except for a camera cover, but it has a deep inlet) and it feels great too. I have experienced the one issue I read about the cursor just disappearing randomly from time to time (not from inactive use, literally in the middle of me using it), but it comes back by pressing the space bar. Annoying for sure, but not enough for me to return it, though if it happened every 5 minutes maybe I’d change my mind about that. My main personal gripe with the Combo Touch were the color options. I would have preferred if they had an even lighter beige than Sand, like Cream or Ivory, but with the texture of the case I can see how that would be more difficult to clean. The Sand color is pretty and starting to grow on me though. Overall, very happy with this purchase. The only reason I would switch/upgrade is if the Magic Keyboard every adopted the case (with a stand)/detachable keyboard feature to be able to use the iPad on its own, but I don’t see that happening. With the Combo Touch retailing for about $100 less, it was also a no brainer.. except that I literally spent a week watching review/comparison videos. If you’re planning to use your iPad as a tablet AND laptop, get this case.

I had to post a review right away even though I just received this yesterday. For an aftermarket product, Logitech really impressed me with this iPad Pro add on. The first thing that attracted me was the detachable keyboard. Using my iPad as an iPad (and not a MacBook) I felt the Magic Keyboard as very limiting as it doesn’t allow to use much as a tablet with a pencil. I have pretty much every Apple product, but my only complaint about Apple’s accessories is they seem to think we live in a world where we should use their products naked and with little protection. Installation and Fit: My only option with the 1st Generation iPad Pro (2016) was to cover the glass with a protective screen. That alone usually limits your ability to find a good case. And so I used the same with this 7th Generation iPad Pro, Logitech exceeded this expectation by allowing a case with a snug fit but flexible frame to allow for the perfect bevel around the edges. Setup & Configuration: The device is intuitive to notify to install a simple Logitech utility to make the merge of it to IOS smooth. There was no custom configuration needed to use this item and all of its features right out of the box. You can see from the images it’s attractive at all angles. (Although if they really wanna give Apple a run they would have tons more colors)If I did have one complaint it would be the kickstand vs the stability of the magic keyboard stand when it comes to being more easily knocked over which I actually did the first night I had on my night table. Otherwise Im both impressed with the product and the price. Ill be selling my magic keyboard to recoup my original investment and pay nothing extra thanks to Logitech!! You won’t be disappointed!!! Or as other reviews state, don’t think about it just purchase!!!

Algunas teclas resultaron defectuosas, sobre todo la tecla de espaciado. Dado el precio me parece inadmisible.

Me encanto cuando llego, la caja muy fácil de abrir y de empezar a usar, super se ajusto al iPad, ni un milímetro más o menos, y me encanta que puedes convertir tu ipad en un todo en uno en instantes, el puerto magnético hace super accesible convertirlo en computadora, o solo ver una película, lo que no me encanto es el peso, ya con el teclado pesa bastante, pero se compensa con lo bueno que trae, yo cuento con poco espacio, y me a ayudado mucho esta funda, muchas fundas requieren más espacio para funcionar, y esta creo que no tanto, el mouse super responsivo, igual si hubiera de otros colores seguro buscaría una opción, al tacto es como tela, y no se ensucia tan rápido, le ha caído grasa y a las pocas horas desaparece

I Purchased this Logitech Combo Touch in Color Sand ( sand/beige ) for my 12.9” iPad Pro 6th Gen & I absolutely love love love it! It works amazing for me and for how I like to use my iPad. I love the fact I can detach the keyboard to use in tablet mode & iPad is still protected , has so many viewing angles / tilt, the keyboard is amazing , nice and smooth, keys click beautifully , keys are backlit in dim lighting and you can lower or raise the brightness of the backlit lights as there is dedicated key on the keyboard for it, a whole top row of dedicated functional keys ( something Magic Keyboard from apple does not have) the track pad works beautifully , the case is very nice and sturdy definitely protective, and the whole case is such a beautiful Color. It’s so nice to have a case like this that’s not black. I have always had grey or black as that’s what most are so was nice to have this Color option. I love it it’s gorgeous. It does add some extra weight to this already large iPad but is not bulky. It’s due to having a keyboard added to the case but it is overall slim. I am so very happy with my purchase 100%. I even ordered the wireless Logitech Pop Mouse in Beige to go with this combo set ( as shown in pics) and it matches perfectly. If you are looking for an amazing keyboard case combo set I definitely recommend this one.
