One of the best horror comics of all time
Hellboy isn’t your normal superhero both in his character and his story because here you have a clear beginning middle and end and if you can just read these four volumes/Omnibus’ and feel satisfied. It all starts off a little slow and confusing but once you get through volume one and into volume two everything starts to make more sense and you get a feel for the world and it just gets better from there. Also, you don’t have to get all the other B.P.R.D volumes to understand Hellboy, but you will probably want to cause it’s that good. Highly recommend in this box set, the box itself is really good and you get all four volumes and at the time of me purchasing this, it’s cheaper than buying the volumes separately (£20 cheaper). The Hellboy short stories aren’t included in this set, although it should be, however those aren’t required reading to understand the story but I do highly recommend them if you are a fan of Hellboy because it just fleshes out the character more and humanises him.

4 book was faulty
I’ve read the first 3 books, but the forth is damaged and some of the pages are in the wrong order, or repeated , please check if you buy this item

Condition of actual box of box set
Disappointed with condition of box as this was a box set. Books are fine with one very minor damage to corner. Considering in plastic cover to protect surprised as this condition

Very good quality overall, the shipping was ok. Although the box did not come damaged you can see some wear on it due to shipping.

Amazing story and a true classic to read, I highly recommend to all this box set and if reading this to also buy the side stories as they lead into book 2 and beyond!
