Nice Product
Happy with this. Only thought...which has nothing to do with the quality....is the cable could be factory marked (Null...Serial DB9). I purchased two different pin out types and once out of the marked packages could not tell them apart.

Great product, too expensive (at around $10)
Great product. It would be great if they made a full-handshake adapter, rather than a dedicated cable. These are the go-to choice for computer-computer serial connections. With full-handshake the connection is really fast and reliable.

Good quality.
They should last a long time. The only downside is they are not marked as to being straight cables or a null modem cable. I had to mark them so I would not get confused.

Works for transferring files to my A500
This cable, plus a StarTech.com DB9 to DB25 M-to-F Serial Adapter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000087RYP) worked perfectly for transferring files to my Amiga 500 using the Amiga Explorer software.

Not Null Modem
Advertised incorrectly as a null modem cable which it is not. A null modem cable should have pins 1 and 6 connected to each other (going to pin 4 on the other end). It will work as a serial console cable or maybe some applications that call for a direct connection cable. There is a definite possibility that it won't work for applications that require a real null modem cable. Potential issues could be encountered with things like PPP, and dialup software. It is a good quality serial console cable so I will keep it and give it two stars instead of just one.

Handy null modem cable, it's short so you will need an extension if standing at a 19" rack. On a desktop between equipment it's good enough. I label mine to distinguish what it is. It's strong and reliable so far, good construction.
