The dial on the flapper: How does it work?

Great question! There are several numbers located on the underside of the flapper near the band. By turning the dial to the higher numbers, it closes off the holes allowing the flapper to float longer (this cause more water to enter your toilet bowl. By turning the band to the lower numbers, the flapper takes on water and closes faster (flushing less water). It shut my toilet up

The toilet flapper was very easy to install. I had a leaky flapper that was driving me nuts because I could hear it all night. Decided to buy this one instead of spending $13+ at Home Depot and ace. I was honestly worried it would be a floppy silicone material but it wasn’t! Very sturdy flapper indeed. Shut my toilet up real quick! And no more annoying running water. It fit my toilet perfectly, even though I winged it because I have no idea what brand my toilet is
