I have been looking for a product like this for a long time. MSG triggers migraines for me, and I need gluten-free. Used this right away to make a soup, and it was delicious! It was easy to use, and a little goes a long way. This product has expanded my recipe possibilities. Plus it's a reasonable price... yahoo!

Love making chuck Roast with it, it's good! I can't stand store bought broth in cartons at grocery store. Taste terrable the broth in cartons! I mix Massel with Spring Water and use it, it taste great! Thank you!

The flavor is very good. Ingredients are good, because I have to be careful what I eat. Very good value for the money.

NO MSG

This is one of the cleanest beef bouillon powders I have found. If I use a lot of it, it gives me some tummy issues. But if I use a tiny bit to add some flavor, I seem to do ok. My girlfriend in Australia only uses this brand...it's just a bit hard to find this brand in the states.

This is Australian style powder so not sure difference but it has an unusual gingery or allspice backnote that was terrible to me in beef dishes.. could be my fault for being used to just beef base but this is definitely geared more for curries etc

I held back on writing a review for this for a good three months because my very initial impressions weren't great. I expected to be blown away by this stock, and initially I wasn't. It's only been since I started to incorporate it into more and more of my cooking that I've been able to appreciate the flavour when compared to the bog standard vegetable stock cubes I usually use. It really does produce a better flavour. Most vegetable stock cubes seem to be overwhelming in either their herbiness or their celery flavours. This stock is just so well balanced and it adds a great depth to dishes. I really can't tell you whether it really does taste beefy because I haven't eaten beef for nearly thirty years - and I don't think I'd be too keen on this stock if it had some kind of (to me) alien meaty flavour. But I can tell you that it does take my cooking to a higher level. Seitan tastes amazing with a spoon of this added into the recipe. It 'tasties up' stir fry amazingly well. And adds a lovely dimension to chilli and other dishes. A small tub does go a long way, so even though it seems expensive, I've used it an awful lot and I yet still have a little bit left. It's probably time to reorder now though, which means I really do like it! I'm contemplating trying the 'chicken' flavour now.

A wonderful stock powder added this to my favourite chicken and rice dish- made it really delicious and tasty. Highly recommend it. I can't eat anything thats not gluten free so this makes it extra good.
