Catch Phrase Game

We played this game once at a friend's home, and had to purchase one for ourselves. We have also given it as gifts to others. The game is self-contained within the disc, and you will need at least four people to play, since the game is played with teams. One button on the disc begins the timer, and a word or phrase appears in a small window. The person holding the game gives clues so that the other team member(s) can guess the word or phrase. If the timer runs out before a team guesses the correct answer, the other team scores a point. If a team guesses the word, the game is passed to a member of the opposing team while the timer is still running. This is a fast-paced, fun game, and is suitable for older teens to 100. Highly recommended and is currently very reasonably priced!

This game is amazing and will get any group of people excited and into it. Brought it to a party where there was a lot of clique-iness which left those who weren’t attached to a clique hopelessly looking around bored/ silent/ not knowing what to do with themselves (this included me). Busted this out and played with the other loners and pretty soon everyone at the party wanted to be a part of it. Of course, with this game the more the merrier so we had a huge group playing and it was great. Really brought everyone together. The directions are easy to follow, there are no small pieces/ cards to get lost (it’s just the one handheld device) and large groups can play.

We love this game. We had the older version until it died 😩, and got this to replace it. It’s a great party game with lots of people. As long as you can read and kinda understand the meaning of word phrases or figures of speech you can play this game. There may be a few questionable phrases you would want to skip, (If playing with children or mixed company or it’s just plain vulgar) but not very many. This is a fast paced game for a few to a roomful. Very fun.

This a a fun and inexpensive little game. There are 5 categories and you can cycle through a ton of clue. The rules are pretty simple- get your team to say the word and pass to the other team. Which ever team is left with the device when time is up loses and the other team wins the point. First to 7 wins. Its a great party game and is great for large and small parties, you just need even numbers. I would definitely recommend. Also for adult parties it is fun to make the opposing team take a drink if they lose the point.

Updated categories and clues make it enjoyable for both younger and older gereration's experiences. Also like that you can skip a clue and find one you can relate to. Six or more people is best and sometimes we just let everyone try to answer the clue without keeping score. Lots of laughs.

Bought this as a Christmas gift and it was a huge hit! We bring it out at every family gathering and play for hours. There are a ton of categories and prompts so you will not get bored. Also appropriate and fun for younger kids. This game is a great way to get the whole family having fun together!

We love this game! It arrived just as described. We play often with 4 to 6 people. Young and old enjoy it and we can play even when we only have half-hour or so. We usually start planning to play for half an hour but wind up playing for several hours because we are having so much fun. We rarely keep score, but rather we just pass around the game, using the timer, and have lots of laughs.

We love Catchphrase! It's such a fun game with a group, and it's SUPER easy for people to learn if they haven't played before. It can be short or you can keep the game going, which is great to have flexible timing for parties. This is a classic! Every household should have one!

This is a great game and we really enjoy playing it. The only thing I would say it is is very American and some of the words and phrases are not familiarity to us as Brits.

Love this game. Hours of fun. No "pieces". Anyone can play. I went through a faze where I carried it in my purse and would randomly pass it around. Easy to play for 5 minutes or all night

Great game, been a staple at game nights. Some things are completely unknown to us but it's fun coming up with ways to break it down for your team. Highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys good competition. Friendships will not be lost over this game, but you may find your way of thinking is similar to some of your friends (definitely helps in this game!)
