Yes, use normal connectors on hoses. Then use a male connector (all black) together with a tap connector (yellow with adapter removed) to make a double male connector. Then this connector can be used to connector two hoses together.

Hay is the connection there to empty a poolwith a hose

If it has a hose type outlet, yes it will. I have a large hot tub with the male fitting to connect to. It is slow, took overnight to empty.
