Head Net

I live in an unorganized township in Maine, between a giant bog and a small river. The mosquitos here are so bad in the summer that I sometimes joke that this is where all of the mosquitos in the state originate from. Most of the summer here the bugs can be so bad that I can't stand to be out in them for very long, it makes being outdoors much harder to enjoy. I've been using one of these nets over a wide brimmed hat for the last month or so when I go outside to work on the yard or tend the garden, anything that keeps me outside for more than just a few minutes during peak bug season, and it has allowed me to stop focusing on the bugs, and focus more on being outside, and on the task at hand. It's been great. I particularly like that the nets are extra baggy - there is an elastic drawstring at the opening of the net, but it doesn't need to be very tight because the extra length at the bottom of the net sort of drapes down from the drawstring, forming a wide contact area with your chest back and shoulders that effectively leaves no open space below the net around your neck to worry about. using it over a wide brimmed hat (I had to get the hat separately, it's not part of the net) helps keep it from touching your face and neck much, so mosquitos and flies that land on the net don't just bite through. I haven't had any issues with anything getting through, not small mosquitos or blackflies. I don't review much on here, but this product's quality for the price was a great value. I bought more than one initially, and they are inexpensive enough that I'm sure I'll buy more of these to have around the house for family and friends to use while they're over, or as a backup in case I misplace or damage the one's I've been using.

This is the best head net. I don't feel like I'm wearing it. Good view. Comfortable, lightweight, easy to use. I bought other head nets that were bothersome . This one is great. It's like not wearing a head net at all. Keeps the biting flies and gnats away from your face and neck. Wear it over a hat.

If ya live in the south these are a must....great bug resistance and a spot to still eat and drink food without removing easy to use and has great airflow even in the middle of summer folds easy and works well for the whole family

PROS: Pretty easy to see through despite being black netting. I've worn it at work with sunglasses underneath and I could still do my job. The net easily fits over a wide-brimmed hat, and that keeps the mosquitoes even farther from your face. The cinch at the bottom prevents it from blowing off in the wind. The little pouches are convenient, I'd probably have lost or torn a net if they were just loose. CONS: I paid double what they're selling for now, so that's annoying.

Got this for when I mow the yard at dusk in the summer and all manner of gnats and flies and bugs would get up in my face causing me to flail about like a man possessed. Now I just throw this bad boy on and hardly even notice the pests as they cover the head net instead of my face. I don't remember what I paid for this, but it was worth it.

Boy, oh boy, am I glad I purchased this item. The netting keeps mosquitoes away from my face, completely. Sometimes they hover around my head, utterly frustrated (if mosquitoes can feel frustration), and the relief I feel from having the protective netting is wonderful. As someone who gardens, and, therefore, spends a lot of time among those blood-sucking insects, I find this item indispensable. I recommend the netting without reservation! It provides much-needed, and instant, relief from mosquitoes. The price is low, the value for money is incredible.

Best head net I've found - essential for being in buggy territory. I also treated mine with permethrin.
