Good Old Days

Great magazine! I so enjoy remembering and learning about days gone by. It’s got a lot of content too, more than other nostalgic magazines I subscribed too. Arrived sooner than expected too!

I ordered a subscription for this in October of 2017, so my parents could get it in time for Christmas. The first issue didn't arrive until nearly March of 2018. Now I am getting notices that I should renew or it will expire in January 2019.I worked in print media for nearly a decade and vigorously defend it, but that kind of turnaround is not good. My mother-in-law passed away just recently and it reminds me that, especially when you are targeting an elderly audience, you can't afford to wait months to receive a product.On a positive note, my father and I enjoyed reading the articles together. It is a collection of memories submitted by readers--I believe the magazine frequently requests that readers submit articles on specific topics, although I would think they would accept a variety of topics. My father turned 100 this year and is still sharp--I'd love to work with him to send in some articles and photos.I have not seen this magazine for sale in stores but if I did, I would not hesitate to purchase single issues (wish they would do that--it would be great for history teachers too). I will not subscribe again though, as the delay in fulfilling subscription orders is very disappointing.

I wanted some "vintage" images for junk journaling. The magazine is from such poor quality paper, even the print of it is "old" in a bad way. The stories and recipes are still worth reading, but I was hoping to have a little more quality in the prints of photos, etc. Will not be renewing.

This magazine can bring back memories for people as they think about their own lives. It's a good way to show children and grandchildren what life was like. It's also a magazine that can help you clear a path fora life more simple perhaps.

I work at an independent living center, where the residents are in their 80s and 90s. I have a sort of small pharmaceutical gift shop. Residents visit frequently and I have this for those who want to just stop and visit for a while. They absolutely love "going back in time...to a day when they were much younger". They will often share their own stories after reading one from the magazine.

Bought this for my parents to enjoy. We received the first issue, for us, and they seemed to really enjoy it!

Love all the stories. Read from cover to cover. Got this for an ailing relative and we both love the stories. Makes her want to talk about her memories of growing up. Gets her old mind working and encourages her to share what she remembers.

I got this for a family member who loves stories of the old days. She loves it.
